She laughs. “Of you? Hardly.”
“That’s right.” He snaps his fingers. “I almost forgot. I’m the wrong flavor, right?”
Kasey glares. “What the hell are you going on about?”
Emilio’s smile turns smug. He leans over the table as if he’s about to share a secret with her. “We all know you’re a fan of dark chocolate.” He winks and tilts his head toward Dominique.
Kasey bares her teeth, but she can’t hide the crimson staining her cheeks. Dominique coughs. Then chokes. He reaches for his Gatorade to clear his throat.
Kasey glowers at him. “Don’t get excited all of a sudden,” she snaps. “Emilio’s right. I like black guys. But I sure as hell don’t like you.”
She shoves to her feet and stomps away in a fit of anger.
I sigh and scrub a hand over my face. “Did you really have to do that?” I ask.
Emilio shrugs. “It’s fun riling up baby Henderson. I gotta take advantage of every opportunity.”
“You’re a dick.” Aaron says, but there isn’t any heat in his voice. Instead, he’s watching Dom as Dominique, in turn, watches Kasey’s retreating form.
I kick him under the table and his head whips to face me. I angle my head to Aaron and Dom meets his stare. “What?”
“Stay the hell away from my sister.”
He snorts. “Don’t worry. Jailbait isn’t my type.”
Satisfied, Aaron stands from the table just as the bell rings, calling an end to lunch. “I’ll catch up with you later,” he tells me.
I wave goodbye as the rest of us gather our things and head to our next classes. Roman holds my hand in the halls and together we ignore everyone’s interested stares. I don’t think the Sun Valley High student body will ever get used to seeing Roman in a relationship, but at least they’ve stopped sneering at me.
Emilio and Dominique turn down a hallway on our left as Roman and I continue forward. Spotting a classroom that brings back heat inducing memories, I tug Roman towards it and shove him inside, closing the door behind me.
I make a point of locking the door before looking at my very hot and very confused boyfriend. “We’re going to be late,” he says.
I walk towards him and place my hands on his chest. Licking my lips, I lean in close, “I don’t want to go to class. I want to stay here. With you.” I pull back, gauging his expression. He frowns, still confused, and I fight back an eye roll. Why is he being so dense?
Taking a deep breath, I reach down and cup his dick over his jeans. He jumps back a few steps and my hand falls between us.
“Allie?” His voice is rough.
“I want you,” I please, closing the distance between us again.
Roman sucks on his bottom lip, concern flashing in his dark brown eyes. “You’re not ready.”
Determination sweeps through me. I’m not a fragile flower. I won’t break. Not again. He’s treated me with kid gloves since the assault, but I’m ready to move on with my life. To be with him again. I want him. All of him. So freaking bad.
“Do you remember the last time we were alone in this room?” I ask.
His eyes sweep the empty classroom. Recognition brightens his gaze before he gives me a questioning look. “I don’t think this is a good—”
Throwing caution to the wind, I tear my shirt over my head, exposing the lacy black bra underneath. His eyes zero in on my chest and his mouth drops open.
Reaching behind me, I unclasp my bra and let it fall to the floor.
He groans.
A smile teases the corners of my mouth as I spot the blatant want on his face. He still hasn’t moved, but he will. Roman wants me just as bad as I want him. He just needs a little more encouragement, and I plan to give him exactly that.
I palm one of my breasts, my free hand reaching for his and guiding it over the other. He squeezes my flesh, his eyes darkening, before tugging at one taut nipple.
