I rolled my eyes, taking her hand. “Well, you do have impeccable taste. I look like a runway model in this dress.”

“Good, because you are beautiful. Now let’s get to the restaurant.” She stuck out her elbow, waiting for me to take her in. She guided us downstairs where Hunter smirked at us.

The only downer of Blaize living in the club, is we never got to leave without someone knowing. “Well, don’t you two look dashing.”

“Bye, Hunter,” Blaize said as she tugs me gently away.

I smirked, turning back towards her. “Maybe if you’re good, Blaize will let you have a taste.” Her eyes narrowed, but Blaize had us out of the club before Hunter could retort. “Does that bother you?”

“What? You teasing Hunter?” I nodded. “Nope, because at the end of the day, Hunter is left wondering what you taste like when I am the one between these pretty thighs of yours, tasting every part of you.”

“I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

CHAPTER 65

BLAIZE

Hunter sent me a spam of ten messages in a matter of two minutes, telling me she would make Kadence pay for teasing her like that, but it was only if Kadence agreed tomorrow night. Tonight it was about us, and I was doing something I’d done only once with Olivia, but she was a part of this world from the beginning. Kadence was just now dipping her toes in the BDSM world.

Kadence was singing along to the radio, caressing the hand I had firmly gripping her exposed thigh. I knew I loved this dress for a reason. She looked happy, at ease with everything that happened in the last few months; not just from what I did, but from everything else happening around us. I knew that she knew what happened to Hunter, and that Drew was going to get himself killed. She had been Annika’s rock. The other two were keeping me updated on the situation and advised that they wouldn’t be performing for a little while until Drew got his shit together.

I pull up to Suavis, a high-end restaurant in the next territory over. I already informed Daniel a week ago that I would be dining in his town with Kadence. Thankfully, he was one of the few people not pissed at me for every shipment for thelast month getting destroyed. I had Damon working on a new shipment with Hunter and Cross to get it here discreetly so I can get my men drugs. I might not like them, but it kept me in power until I stated otherwise.

I stepped out of the SUV and walked to Kadence’s side, opening her door and outstretching my hand for her to take. She eyed me cautiously with a smirk tugging at her lips. “Chivalry is not dead, princess.”

“It’s weird being treated like a literal princess. I’m still not used to it.”

“One day you will be, because that’s what you are. I told you, I’m not the greatest at showing emotion, but I am going to try for you. And that involves treating you like the queen you are.”

“Y’know, you really are a giant sap wrapped in sexy leather.”

“Don’t tell anyone, it will ruin my reputation.”

“Oh, what will you do for me to keep your secret?”

I smirked, thinking of all the possibilities. “Do you want to be bound with a vibrator between your thighs or do you want me on my knees devouring you until you scream my name?”

“All of the above.”

“Come on, pretty girl. Let’s get in here.”

Kylie, the owner of Suavis, personally guided us to our private table in the back of the restaurant. Daniel must’ve visited her and advised that we would be in tonight. The territory leaders made a show of hospitality when I visited, thinking it got them extra brownie points. Sometimes it did, and sometimes it didn’t. It depended on who I was with and what I was doing. If Kadence enjoyed herself tonight, I’d make sure Daniel had something special.

I held the velvet necklace box in my pocket, knowing this was going to be the next step in our relationship. Kadence said she forgave me, but did she trust me enough to take this step? She smiled brightly at me as she took a sip of the red wine.

“What?”

“I’m admiring beauty.”

Her cheeks flushed. “Y’know, you’re a flirt. I wish we could’ve skipped everything else and been like this before.”

I grimaced, guilt tugging at my heart. “I know.”

She reached out and took my hand. “I love you, Blaize. I never loved someone as much as I love you. There is no reason to linger on the past. Our future is bright.”

“It is. I want to give you something. You don’t have to accept it, but.” I pulled out the velvet red box from my pocket, and Kadence’s brow curved. I open the box and reveal the infinity O-ring day collar.
