A knock sounded on the door, and I glanced up.“Come in.”
I expected to see Jamie, but it was Cav staring back at me, the phone to his ear.He smirked, then disconnected the call and stepped inside.
“Figured you didn’t realize I was in the building.”
I set my phone on the desk and leaned back in my chair.“I didn’t.”I motioned him in.“How’s it going for you?”
“Good.They got me set up in my own office, and Zeke’s asked me to manage Heather and Lance.”
“What do you think of them?”
Like Jamie, seeing Cav made me realize how much I missed him.If I had my way, I’d be spending a lot more time with them both, but at the moment, I needed the space.Being that Jamie was new to the scene—not to mention a virgin and, yes, twelve years younger than me—a slow pace was a requirement for her.Not an easy feat when I wanted her so fucking badly.
On the other hand, I couldn’t stop thinking about the way she’d reacted to seeing Cav sucking my cock in my bed.I’d purposely gone in there in the hopes that she’d wake up.I had needed to see her reaction, to know she was okay with what was clearly going to happen between me and Cav.When she had shifted closer so she could watch, I’d damn near come right then.
Afterward, the three of us had relocated to my living room, chowed down on pizza, and watched a movie until Jamie once again dozed off.When I noticed Cav doing the same, I moved her back to my bed, where Cav and I slipped in beside her.I couldn’t remember a night I’d slept quite so soundly.I certainly hadn’t slept that well since.
Cav smiled.“Heather’s a go-getter.Extremely eager.Probably take her a little time to settle in, realize how demanding this job can be.”
“And Lance?”
“I can’t get a good read on him yet.But we’ll figure it out in time.”
Another knock sounded, and I called out for the new arrival to come in.
Jamie opened the door, and Cav instantly went to his feet.I smiled up at her.“Come in.Shut the door, please.”
She stepped inside, but she wasn’t smiling.
“Everything all right?”Cav asked her.
Jamie rolled her eyes, and a small smile turned up the corner of her mouth.“My brother can be an idiot at times.”
That he could.
“Is that what brings you by?”Cav inquired.“You came to talk to Zeke?”
“I did,” she confirmed, her eyes moving between us.
The look on Cav’s face was one of disappointment, but it disappeared quickly.
“Well, I’m glad you’re here,” he said softly, moving toward her.
In a move that spoke of ease and practice, Cav enveloped her in his arms before planting a kiss on her mouth.
“Mmm.You smell good.”
Jamie smiled up at him, pure sunshine.“I was thinking the same about you.”
I remained relaxed in my chair, observing their interaction.I had to force myself not to think about strapping her down to my desk while Cav and I double-teamed her right here in my office.It was bad enough I continued to think about the other night, about how beautiful she’d been as Cav made her come with his tongue.
I exhaled sharply, forcing the thought away.“I was wondering if you’d like to come down to Dichotomy tonight.”
“Tonight?”Her expression said she was surprised by the invite.“I … uh … actually have plans.”
“To study?”I asked with a grin.
She chuckled.“No.I’m hanging out with my best friend Tiffany.Girls’ night in.”
