“Then who’s your other favorite girl?”

“That would be your mother.” I looked over her shoulder at Gia who was watching us carefully.

“Are you going to read me a bedtime story?”

“If you’d like.”

“Are you going to read mommy one too?” I looked at Gia again who looked like she wished the floor would open up and take her.

“Not tonight maybe some other time. What book would you like me to read?” I walked towards her room and got her settled in bed before taking up a seat beside her.

She chose the same one as last time and I settled down to read. It wasn’t long before she nodded off and I pulled the covers around her and waited as her mother kissed her little forehead before leaving the room.

“I’ll let you get to bed early, you have a long day tomorrow.” She followed me to the door, down that hallway with all the pictures of her dead husband on the wall.

I deliberately turned and pulled her into my arms. I nuzzled her cheek to her ear. “Kiss me!” I didn’t miss the quick look she threw at the photos on the wall.

Anger clouded my vision and I squeezed her cheeks between my fingers, pulling her face back around to mine.

I pulled her the short distance to my lips and covered hers in a harsh punishing kiss. It was rough and undisciplined, nothing at all like my usual suave seductive lure.

I pulled her stiff body closer to mine and deepened the kiss, reveling in the fact that though she didn’t want it, she couldn’t resist my kiss.

Her lips opened freely under mine and her body softened, still she didn’t put her arms around me, but held them between us as if ready to push me away.

I turned her back against the wall and pressed my cock into her middle letting her feel the full force of my need as I ate at her lips hungrily.

Only when she became breathless and clung to me did I let her go. “I’ll see you in the morning, get some rest.” I kissed her forehead and opened the door and left. It’s going to be a long night.

The next morning I cornered Gavin in his office before even stepping foot in mine. “What was that about last night?”

“What was what about big brother?”

“Don’t play with me, you know damn well what I’m talking about. Why did you offer her a ride?”

“Why wouldn’t I? She’s beautiful, talented, and I think she likes me.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“Evan let me go you idiot.” My vision cleared enough for me to see that I had him pinned against the wall with my arm pressed against his throat.

“Shit! Stay away from her, I’m not gonna tell you again.”

“Now why would I wanna do that?”

He grinned and evaded the hand I reached out to choke the shit out of him, making his way to the door for a hasty exit.

“I don’t relish having to tell our mother that I brought about the demise of her worthless son but I’d do it in a heartbeat if I catch you sniffing around my woman.”

“Yours is she? Funny, she doesn’t seem to think so.”

“Gavin…” He walked down the hall laughing his fool head off. Ingrate!

I went to her office next and found her already there. The little skirmish with Gavin had my blood up and I was in the mood for a fight.

Without greeting her I walked around behind the desk and pulled her up from the chair. I had my tongue in her mouth before she could form any words to throw at my head.

This kiss was no less hungry than the one the night before. When I released her she fell back in her chair and looked up at me in shocked surprise.
