After another few moments of my relentlessness, she caved.
“I’m yours, Kill.” She sobbed as her hips met each of my harsh strokes. “No other man will ever have me.”
Those words were hits of ecstasy to a possessive asshole like me, and I wouldn’t last much longer either.
“Good girl.” I released her wrists and then grabbed her throat again, squeezing as I delivered a savage, bruising kiss. “Come for me, baby.”
Lexi’s soaking cunt gripped my cock, and as her orgasm hit, she cried out my name. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head, and a few more fresh tears ran down her cheeks.
My hot cum spilled inside her as a roar burst from my mouth, probably scaring the wildlife away. My knees burned, my head spun, and I was so dizzy, I would have passed out if I wasn’t so hellbent on watching Lexi unravel beneath me.
The sight was branded into my mind, and I’d replay it anytime I needed a dose of pleasure.
“Kill, that was...” Her blue eyes were hazy and unfocused as she licked her swollen lips. “Sex never felt like that before.”
I brushed a kiss on her damp brow as my arm slid under her head like a pillow. “That’s because it wasn’t with me.”
This was so fucking dangerous. I was slipping deeper into a tunnel where only Lexi existed. If I weren’t careful, I’d lose sight of the real world. Hell, I’d already forgotten that I was supposed to be ruining her instead of worshiping her.
After punishing, owning, and wrecking Lexi a few more times by the lagoon, I helped her into a new room that didn’t have a dead guy rotting inside. I expected her to shut down and push me away when she remembered I’d killed someone, but instead, she clung to me like a safety net.
Having her lean on me like when we were kids pumped life back into my dead heart. It also terrified the shit out of me.
Before I passed out in the new room with Lexi, I’d tossed a sheet over Banks’ dead security guy and hung theDo Not Disturbsign on the door. Maria wouldn’t be too happy if she or any of her staff stumbled upon a corpse.
This morning, I reluctantly stumbled back to the crime scene and snatched my phone, dialing the number I never wanted to call when a problem arose.
But this washisfault.
Anger flowed through my veins for what almost happened to Lexi, and that part of me didn’t give a shit about his reaction. The phone rang a few times and went to his voicemail, so I immediately dialed him again.
“Killian, I’m in a meeting. If I don’t answer the first time you call, that means I’m busy.” Stan’s curt tone came over the line, spurring my fury.
“What the fuck did you have me steal?”
A heavy pause stretched for several moments. “I told you not to look at those?—”
“I didn’t,” I spat, my temper getting the better of me. The perfect façade I’d worn for so long was slipping. “They sent a guy after me, and he tried to kill—” My mouth snapped shut before blurting Lexi’s name.
Movement echoed on the line, Stan probably leaving the room for privacy. “What’s going on, Killian? I don’t appreciate your attitude.”
The phone creaked in my hand from my death grip. “One of Banks’ security guys broke into my hotel room to retrieve the papers, but I killed him before he could get away.”
“Oh.” Another long pause had my heart crashing against my ribs. “You did the right thing, son.”
Of course I did the right thing! I did it to save Lexi, meanwhile Stan assumed my motives were for the brotherhood. I wasn’t going to correct him.
“Is there blood?” he asked, not the least bit worried for my safety or my guest’s. “What’s the damage?”
“I broke his neck.” I stood over the body, my knuckles bruised from the hits to his jaw. “It was a clean kill.”
“Good job, Killian.” The edge to Stan’s voice vanished. “I always knew you were a perfect addition to the Serpents & Daggers. You’re much more cunning than Sebastian. Maybe you’ll earn your place as Domnus senior year.”
A sour taste coated my mouth as Stan buttered me up. Normally, his high praise would have overjoyed me, but it rubbed me the wrong way this time. My instincts screamed to keep my cool and slap on my perfect mask, though.
“Thank you, sir. I wanted to ensure I did everything possible to complete the job.”
“You deserve a special treat for this.” He chuckled as if we weren’t discussing a murder. “I’ll think of something. Just don’t tell my oldest what I said. He’d never let me hear the end of it.”
