“What the fuck did you do, bitch?” Harold, Timmy’s ninety-year-old grandfather and second-in-command, yelled.

I punched him too.

He fell backward into the mud.

A bullet whizzed by my ear.

Xyler zoomed by me and a man screamed, “What are you? What are you?”

The father of my child hurled him into the pit.“Death.”

“Thanks, Xyler.”

He bowed slightly.“My pleasure.”

Sitting my basket of veggies on the table, I quickly checked on Jaxor. Huh? He had slept through the whole thing.

Kaelen appeared next to me.“I read Timmy’s mind before you hit him, and they are planning on setting off a nuclear bomb at Central Command in two days.”

“Trying to take a nuclear bomb through the portal would create a cataclysm that would have obliterate most of southern Nevada along with the portal,”Uncle Ben growled.

My right eye twitched.“Where in the hell did they get a nuke?”

“From General “The Beast” Hudson. He claims the Tai-Kok invasion is an elaborate hoax designed to take over the government,”Uncle Saul replied.

I stared at him in disbelief.“And the spaceships?”

“Clever holographs and he also believes the Earth is flat.”

My left eye started twitching.“Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t he spend a month on the space station back in 2012?”

“He did,”Uncle Saul replied.

I threw my hands up in disgust.“And he still believes the Earth is flat?”

“He says he was given hallucinogenic drugs the entire time. He also claims NASA doesn’t exist and there is no space program.”

“Oh, my, God.”

Dad added,“Hudson believes in showing no mercy to his enemies. His own men call him The Beast because of all the civilian casualties he causes.”

“Does Timmy know where the nuke is?”Please say yes. Please. Too many had died already.

Kaelen wrapped his arms around me and kissed me gently.“He does.”

I sagged in relief.“Thank God.”My stomach rumbled hungrily.“Do we have time to eat before we save the world again?”

The men laughed.

“After we secure our prisoners, we can eat,”Dad said.

My stomach growled loudly.“I’ll unlock the storage shed.”

“It’s full of spiders,”Uncle Ben advised.

I shrugged.“We simply tell them they’re fake Hollywood spiders.”
