“I’m sorry for freaking out,” I say when we finally stop.

“Don’t apologize for that. I’m always here for you—especially when you’re freaking out.” He wraps his arm around my shoulders and tugs me against his side before pressing a kiss to my head. “So, we share a scent match.”

“We do. Possibly more than one. We know I’m freaking out, but how are you?”

He hums. “Surprised. Confused. Hard as fuck. Knight smelled amazing, but the two of you together? Holy shit, Luna. I thought I was going to come in my pants.”

“Stop it.” I slap his chest as I smile. “Be serious.”

“I am being serious. It’s a lot—especially since we don’t know about Ven and Mack. How did we end up with a biker scent match?”

“Fuck if I know. Apparently fate hates me.”

He snickers. “Or loves you. We’ll figure this out, Lu. No matter what, it’s you and me.”

“Lu?” I ask, cocking my eyebrows.

“Do you hate it?”

I shake my head. “Not at all. I just haven’t had anyone shorten my new name. I like it.”

“Good.” He leans in to kiss me. “Why don’t I grab the descenting spray for both of us? Knight’s already scented us, but there’s no reason to distract each other.”

“Yeah, that’s a good idea. I’m just going to splash some water on my face, then fix my makeup since that’s going to wreck it.”

He nods. “And I’ll make you a latte.”

“You’re a fucking godsend, Pres.” I give him another kiss before pushing to my feet. “I’ll be right back.”

“I’ll be waiting.”

A smile blooms as I stare at him for a moment before heading for the bathroom.

Damn this man, but he sure does make me smile.

CHAPTER TWENTY

Knight

My eyes follow Prescott and Luna as they hurry from the diner. I watch them until they disappear from sight.

Only then do my eyes find Ven and Mack.

They’re both practically vibrating.

“Are they both your scent matches too?”

I already know the answer, so I’m not surprised when Ven nods.

The waitress comes back over, looking a little nervous. “Do you want to sit at this booth, or should I show you to another?”

I glance around the diner, finding all eyes are on us. “Actually, why don’t we place an order to go?”

“Oh, yes. We can definitely do that. Feel free to sit here while you look over the menu.” She hands me all three menus, shooting a nervous glance at Mack and Ven. “My name’s Alyssa, by the way.”

She scurries off, and I sigh. Nodding for the guys to join me, I scoot over so Ven can sit beside me while Mack takes the other side of the booth.

“Let’s figure out what we want and get the hell out of here,” Ven murmurs, the menu lifted to cover his lips. “We’re not having this conversation here.”
