Twisting her neck to look up at him, she felt the tears start to fall.
"We're already married. I already proposed, but you still don't have a ring." With his chest still against her back, Enzo released her enough that he could take the ring out of the box with his free hand. "This was my grandmum's. She and granddad were married for quite a long time. Mum thought you would like it."
Victoria held out her hand as he slipped it on her finger. "I love it." Once he did, she turned in his arms and wrapped her hands around his neck. "Thank you for the ring and the nook. I love them both."
She leaned up to kiss him and realized she didn't have to go as far as usual thanks to the heels. The soft kiss ended and as she pressed her forehead against his, Victoria closed her eyes again as a smile crossed her face.
"I love you, Enzo." She hadn't said it, not like that. Not yet.
"I love you, Kiki." His words were as soft as hers.
The very real ring officially put an end to his time as her fake fiance.
And she wouldn't have it any other way.
