“Man, you need to get off this chick!” Kronic chimed in.
Mrs. Walker walked over to me and placed her hands on top of mine. “She didn’t disappear on you.” Her voice was calm but firm. “She left. Y’all have run your course.”
Those words hit different coming from her mom.
“Where is she?”
Mrs. Walker hesitated, just for a second.
“Ma’am… listen,” Bully stepped in, voice smoother. “I’m so sorry that we are here like this. We didn’t know he was gonna come through like this.”
Her mom looked between us, then back at me.
“Gio, I cannot tell you where she’s. She’s trying to start over.”
I shook my head. “Not without me! I need to know.”
Mrs. Walker tapped my hands with hers, then walked over to her door and held the screen door open for us.
“I think it’s time for y’all to go. I can’t help you, baby.”
Kronic and Bully nodded and headed out the door. I nodded and followed behind them. She stood at the door, and for some reason… I couldn’t walk out that easy.
I pulled my Glock out and pressed it against her neck.
She screamed, making Bully and Kronic turn around.
“Yo, nigga!” they both yelled out at the same time.
“What the fuck are you on right now?!” Bully added.
“Nigga, you goin’ too fuckin’ far!” Kronic raised his voice.
I ignored them completely, my eyes locked on Mrs. Walker.
“I don’t mean to do this, I swear I don’t, but I need her. I need my girl back.”
Mrs. Walker had tears running down her face.
“Atlanta, she’s in Atlanta.”
I pulled away from her and nodded.
I walked past my niggas, still in shock, and hopped in my car. They came along shortly after me.
“Nigga, why the fuck you do that lady like that?” Bully yelled, getting in the car. “You really think she gonna take you back after that?!”
I didn’t respond, I just let them niggas talk. I was already putting my next plan together.
They cussed me out all the way back to my crib. I didn’t say shit the whole time.
When we got to my house, I went straight to my kitchen and started to break the work down.
“Iight, nigga,” Kronic said in a different tone than earlier. “I have to ask, because… you’re moving a lil’ different than usual, my nigga.”
“I’ma stack up real quick, find out where she at, then I’m going to Atlanta to get my baby back.”
They both looked at each other.
