Jared
Beau and I just finished our sparring session for the night, when I turn around and see that Skyler is jogging in place, watching us. “Lollipop” by Framing Hanley is finishing up on the stereo.
I make eye contact with Skyler and hop down and out of the practice cage. “What’s up? Why are you staring at us like you have something up your sleeve?” Sweat drips from my face, and I can taste the saltiness on the sides of my lips. I walk over to the towel basket and start patting down my face and body, waiting for Skyler to answer my question.
“I was just thinking that we could finish tonight’s workout with a run around the block.” Skyler cocks his head toward the exit.
Beau walks up, stopping at my right side with his eyebrows raised. “How far ya thinking?”
Skyler continues to stretch out his legs, hiking one behind his stance then the next one. “Just a few miles. Then maybe we can grab a bite to eat after we get back here?”
The odor in the gym right now is overpowering and musty. “Yeah. Why not? I could go for a run and get some fresh air. It’s not like I have anything else planned besides hanging out at Beau’s.”
Beau’s eyes go to the digital clock that’s hanging over the closed door of the manager’s office. “What’s the end destination?”
A devious grin crosses over Skyler’s face. “I guess we run until one of us is a lazy ass and wants to head back.”
“Alright then. Let us stretch out our legs before you beat us due to leg cramps.” Beau stares at Skyler for an extra beat, and it’s like a silent conversation is happening right in front of me.
Skyler and Beau throw on their T-shirts, while I go to my bag and grab a fitted long sleeve shirt with a hood. Might as well sweat a little more tonight so I can enjoy some real food with the guys afterwards. Skyler pushes the gym door open and we follow close behind; he looks both ways then turns to the right and starts jogging at a light pace. Beau and I easily catch up to him, and we all jog in step.
The sun has gone down, so the streetlights give us a clear view of the sidewalk to continue our jog. The air is crisp with a hint of smoke, like someone has started using their fireplace nearby. After we run about two miles without any exchange of words, Beau abruptly stops in front of me and points in front of us and to the left. “Isn’t that Brittney and KC?”
I trip over my feet when Kailey’s nickname falls from his lips. Skyler has also stopped, lifting the front of his shirt to wipe away the sweat covering his face. “Oh, yeah… They must’ve finished with their pole dancing class early.” A line of people start to exit the studio doors, everyone exchanging goodbyes with the girls.
My shirt clings to my back, and I can feel sweat dripping down the sides of my face under the hood. Kailey and Brittney haven’t noticed us yet; they’re wearing bright colored tank tops and Spanx, each of them carrying a small duffel bag over their shoulder. We’re at a standstill, continuing to watch them.Brittney is attempting to steal Kailey’s water bottle from her before it reaches her lips, and Kailey holds it over her head instead, taunting Brittney. They’re too far away for us to hear what they’re actually saying to each other. When Brittney jumps up and grasps the water bottle, smiling in victory, her body twirls in our direction, giving her the perfect opportunity to spot the three of us staring.
Geez, I bet we look like a bunch of creepers, gawking at two pretty women walking out of a…pole dancing class?!Wait, what? Now it makes sense why she was so good on that pole the night I saw her on stage.
Thoughts of her twirling around the pole, upside down, start to make my dick perk up in these loose workout shorts, and I don’t even notice that Brittney and Kailey are walking in our path.
“There’s my smokeshow!” Skyler bellows at the top of his lungs. Brittney runs the last few feet to us and jumps into his arms, her legs wrapping around him as she kisses him deeply. Her small hands run through his sweaty hair.
Beau pokes Brittney in her side, making her squeal. “Get a room, you two.”
Kailey’s steps are slow and calculated. I’m not even sure how I want to play this. I’ve already come off a little forceful at the bar, and then a bit pushy when she was on that double date. My mind is spiraling when her white tennis shoes stop in front of mine.
“Hey, guys.” She stares at each of us, landing on me last.
“How was the pole tonight, sweetie pies?” Beau pesters.
“Har, har, Beau. Those poles saw more action than you’ll be seeing anytime soon,” Brittney coos at him.
Kailey shakes her head, silently laughing at their bickering.
“Hey, I get plenty of pussy. Thank you very much.” Beau holds his head up high.
“How come we never see you with any women out in public then? Ew, Jared, does he hide them at his house?!”
Wow, they really like to dog on Beau. I wrap my arm around him and stare at Brittney then Kailey. “Now, ladies… maybe he’s waiting to introduce you to that one special lady who’s captured his heart.”
“Pssh, if you say so.” Kailey rolls her eyes. Fuck, that need inside me comes to a head, and it makes me want to bend her over and spank that attitude right out of her. She must see something flash in my eyes because her feet take a step back, and a beautiful peach blush—my favorite shade—crawls up her neck.
Skyler wraps his arms around Brittney’s waist from behind. “And where were you ladies headed?”
Brittney leans her back against his chest. “Well, we sweated our asses off tonight on this new routine. So, Kailey was just talking about grabbing some greasy food and getting some alcohol.”
“Why even work out if you’re gonna splurge like that?” Skyler’s face is serious, like he can’t believe they would do such a thing.
