“It would be easier to settle into my place,” he mutters, crossing his arms over his chest. He’s

sulking, but somehow, on him. It’s still sexy.

The doors opening saves me from answering. I don’t know what I want to say. Moving in with

him sounds wonderful, but now that I really have a true friend, I don’t want to leave her in the lurch.

But one day, hopefully one day soon, she’ll be okay and I’ll run my butt upstairs for good.

I’m not dumb. I’m not letting him get away from me. Ever.

I grab his hand and pull him out of the elevator with a wink. “Besides, sleepovers are more fun.”

He pulls me tight to him until our bodies are lined up. “Sleepovers aren’t enough. I want all of

the elevator doors.

“Business is good as always Mr. Lee. How are you? It seems like a lot has changed for you and

your brothers lately.” She looks pointedly between Zach and me.

He grins and runs his hand through his hair. “Well, a few of us have coupled up. And Micah’s

expecting a baby with his Holly.”

One of the loveliest, kindest smiles I’ve ever seen wreaths her face. “That is truly wonderful

news. Please pass on my congratulations to your brother.” She looks down at me with raised brows.

“And you young lady, I had high hopes for you and one of my grandsons but judging by that kiss I just

witnessed, you’re off the market.”

Zach scowls at her, making her laugh. “She’s off the market. Totally. Tell your grandsons to find
