“What you hiding ya face for?” Marlo calmly asked me while he tried to pry my hands from my face.

“Are you serious Marlo?” I groaned. How the hell was he so calm like we hadn’t crossed so many damn lines. “You just played in my coochie until I came. We both just did to fucking much.” I angrily said my words were slightly muffled since my hands were still covering my face.

“First off, move ya hands.” He forced my hands from my face. He pulled me up by my arms pulling me to the edge of the counter and standing in between my legs. “The way that pussy was creamin’ you ain't got shit to be embarrassed of.”

“Marlo!” I shrieked, slapping him in his chest. “You talking like what we did was okay.”

He was acting like he wasn’t in a relationship.I can’t believe I really let him do that shit.

“Shit, did anybody get hurt?”

“No but did you forget you got a girlfriend?”

“The way I see it, she finna get some of the best dick she ever had when I get home. If anything, she needs to say thank you.” I wanted to slap the cocky smirk off of Marlo’s face. I hated to admit hearing he was going to fuck Fallon aggravated me to the point I didn’t want to be around Marlo anymore.

I rolled my eyes at him, scoffing before I said. “We can’t do nothing like this again Marlo. It’s not okay. I’m not the type of female that messes with niggas that have girlfriends.”

“So, I can’t watch you play with ya self?” Marlo had a big goofy ass grin on his face. When I glared at him he kissed his teeth, shaking his head he looked off to the side then back at me. “Alright, Solana you got it.”

“Thank you,” I smartly said. I was still pissed thinking about what he said. Fallon was basically about to benefit off my work. “Can you back up so I can get down. I need to clean myself.”

“Aww here you go with that funky ass attitude.” Marlo threw his hands up as he backed away from me.

“Kiss my ass,” I said, flipping him off when I got down from the counter.

Switching off towards the main bathroom so I could try to wipe the sticky mess between my legs. “Ouch!” I yelpedturning around I gave Marlo a look that could kill him. He was unfazed by my anger.

He smiled, shrugging his shoulders. “I been wanting to see if ya ass was as soft as it looked.”

“Don’t touch me no more nigga.” I snapped at him before storming off towards the bathroom.

The Next Day

Today was my official move in day for my house. Sunshyne and I ended up staying in the skoolie last night. She still didn’t know about our new house. When she got out of school I planned on surprising her. I’d spent the entire morning getting Sunshyne’s room together. Mikael and Marlo put her bed and dresser together before I kicked them both out. I didn’t need either of them distracting me from getting my goals for the day accomplished. Mainly Marlo’s ass, he was being extra annoying today. He hadn’t mentioned what happened between us yesterday. Honestly, he acted like nothing happened and I had to give it to him for being so nonchalant about it. Cause I was struggling not to have fantasies about Marlo. At the same time, he was being more handsy. Every time I get in arm reached he’d find a way for our bodies to make contact. He wasn’t being sexual either, it was like he needed to feel me. I, however, was getting turned on with every little thing he did, so he had to go. Despite him protesting. Since Marlo had given me a few days off to get my house in order. I had every intention of using all my time off to get settled in.

My couch, end tables, dining room table, and most of my bedroom furniture had been delivered earlier today. The last thing I needed to do was fill the house with groceries and that was why I was atLilly’swith a cart full of groceries. It felt soweird buying so much food at once. Living in my skoolie I never grocery shopped like this. Like we get a few things, but I didn’t fill my skoolie with food because it most likely would go bad and I really didn’t have a place to put a lot of food. It was silly but being able to fill my house with food gave me a sense of pride. A few months ago, I could barely afford a toy for Sunshyne. Now I was able to do that and more.

With my cart overflowing with food and miscellaneous stuff for my house I headed to the checkout line. One of the things I disliked about Lilly’s was there was always one cash register with an actual person and a million self-check-out lines. I hated self-check-out, if I wasn’t getting a discount I wasn’t doing the work they should have someone employed to do. I rolled my eyes at the small line I had to stand in. At least it wasn’t too bad. There were two people in front of me, an older woman first then a couple directly in front of me. I pulled out my phone scrolling aimlessly.

“Solana?” A deep familiar voice pulled my attention from my phone.

I looked up, confused at first then I came face to face with Niko. Niko was Sonni’s oldest brother. I can’t lie; life has been good to him. He didn’t look like he’d aged since the last time I saw him. His long hair was pulled back into a ponytail, blemish free sun kissed skin, tall, muscular build, his pretty hazel eyes shined brightly. He was dressed in designer clothes from head to toe, it was obvious he wasn’t hurting for money and that didn’t sit right with me. I wasn’t hating that Niko was doing good but not extending that to Sunshyne. She never went without; I made sure she didn’t. With that being said I still struggled and if one of her uncle’s had the money to help it would have made my life a lot less stressful. I couldn’t help but think of all the birthdays, Christmas, and other holidays I had to scrape together change when any of them could easily have stepped in and helped. ThenI was almost sure Pricilla was the one who called child services on me. Yeah, I had nothing for any of them. Niko should have kept it pushing because as far as I was concerned he was nobody to Sunshyne, none of them were.

“What the fuck you on?” Niko angrily barked at me, and I was taken back by his anger. He was coming at me like I was the one who did something wrong.

“Excuse me?” I asked, looking at him like he’d lost his mind.

“Babe, chill out.” The light brown girl said, grabbing his arm.

“You right,” He said looking at briefly then focusing back on me. “I’m sayin’ why not lettin’ none of us see Sunshyne?”

“When have I ever not let y’all see Sunshyne? After Sonni died and Pricilla put us out…”

“Put you out? Who put you out?” Niko squinted his eyes at me like he didn’t believe me.

“Your mom put me and Sunshyne out our house, took my car and locked me out of Sonni’s bank account.”
