Our female’s pleasure was always what brought us to ours and as she came, we did too.
Once her body stopped shaking and like we did for the last two days, we carried Wendy to the bathing pools and cleaned her up, making sure to give her all the praise she deserved. But this time, she didn’t try to climb us. Didn’t look feverish with need when we washed her soft skin.
Wendy looked satisfied. Spent. Utterly exhausted.
And this made my soul swell with satisfaction and pride.

“I’m not tired,” she whined as Baelor swatted Wendy’s hands away from her own plate to bring the food to her lips himself. “I can—”
“Let us feed you, habanshi,” Baelor pleaded, the light purple-ish flesh of the wankon fruit dripping from his finger, inches away from Wendy’s mouth.
“Let us provide,” I added in the crook of her neck, moving her hair to the other side so I could leave a kiss on her soft shoulder.
Her back sagged against my chest and she sighed, giving in.
I wasn’t sure what made her think we wouldn’t be feeding her after sex anymore…We’d been doing it for the last two days and planned to keep doing this until the day we’d die.
“Are all Gemins male this…overbearing?”
Baelor gasped, looking offended, yet it didn’t stop him from feeding her another piece of fruit.
“If you think we are overbearing now, wait until you get pregnant…” I added, letting out a chuckle. Wendy turned her face to look at me as she chewed, looking confused. “You will not have a minute of peace. Our family will step in so we have less things to do and more time to stay with you.”
“Why?” she asked. “I heard pregnancy is tiring, but it doesn’t mean women can’t do anything—”
“We know,” Baelor said. “It is just our custom.”
“We believe that a female having a happy, relaxed and resting pregnancy will bring more chances to have more babies in the future,” I continued.
Baelor chuckled. “Anyi said it was not true,” he pointed out. “She said malesknowthat if a female has a happy pregnancy, she will be moreinclinedto have more. It has nothing to do with chances.”
Wendy let out a giggle. “I mean, the phrasing is different and can be interpreted both ways but—it does mean the same, I guess. It just depends on the gender’s point of view.”
Baelor rolled his eyes before picking a slice of smoked meat from the plate to bring to her lips. “Anyway, you better get used to this,” he said, waving at the whole scene, “because it will get worse.”
Wendy relaxed even more against me when my arms closed around her frame to hold her. “You know what? I don’t mind. It feels nice being taken care of for once.”
“Good.” Because she was going to have a lifetime of both of us.

Crazy that, once my life wasn’t threatened, I was able to see how beautiful this planet was. How different the stars shone here compared to Galleat. Not to mention that they hadtwomoons! Although I was born and raised on Galleat—who didn’t have any—I had learned that the Earth, the planet where humans came from, had only one.
“It is nothing,” Baelor said as they flew higher. “Virgo has nine of them.”
“Virgo?” I turned my face to Nitochi in question as his hand closed tighter around my waist.
“Do not look to me for answers.” He scoffed, giving me a small smile. “I do not know anything about the rest of our system or their species. Baelor is the one playing diplomat. I, on the other hand, was banned from stepping foot in their gray box.”
“You’rewhat?”
“You kind of asked for it,” Baelor pointed out, giving one big flap of his wings to reach higher and pull us toward a cliff.
