“Thank you.” I turned the phone so he could see Paris, and her face lit up.

Genesis talked to Paris for a little bit, then told her he would see her later. “I think she’s pouting now,” I told Genesis when I put my face back into the phone.

“Aww, she misses me. I miss both of y’all.”

“I miss you as well.”

I felt my friends staring at me, but I ignored them.

“I’m not going to hold you up any longer. I’ll see y’all later,” Genesis said.

“Okay.”

Genesis hung up, and I put my phone back in my bag.

We stayed at the restaurant a little longer, then Paris and I headed home.

Genesis had cometo the house once Paris and I got home from lunch with the girls. He stayed the night, and in the morning after we had breakfast together, he took Paris out while Ihandled some business. I was nervous the whole day since it was his first time keeping her by himself outside of the house, but he sent me pictures throughout the day. Paris was so happy when she was with her father.

When I finished running errands, I went home, cleaned up, then showered and changed. I had a taste for pizza, so I opted out of cooking. When Genesis told me they were on the way to my house, I placed the order for the pizza. I made sure to get one with sausage for Genesis. I preferred the one with chicken and BBQ sauce. More than likely, there would be some left from both pies, so I would eat them for lunch the next day.

I was on the couch reading when I heard my doorbell. I knew it couldn’t be anybody but Genesis and Paris. I put my Kindle on the table, then got up to open the door.

Paris squealed when she saw me, and I smiled at her. I appreciated the time I had away from her, but I still missed her. I had gotten used to her going with my parents or my girls, but it was weird for her to go with her father. It was something I would have to get used to.

“Hey,” I said as I reached for Paris.

“Hey.” Genesis stepped inside, then kissed my cheek.

“Did you have a good time with daddy?” I asked Paris as I carried her into the living room.

Genesis followed behind me after he closed and locked the door. He placed the diaper bag on the table, then sat down on the couch opposite the one I was on.

“She did have a good time. Some lady wanted to be her new mom.”

“You should have let her.” I smirked at Genesis.

His eyebrow rose as he leaned forward.

“Is that right? Why? You think you are going to find her a new dad?”

I shrugged, knowing damn well that wasn’t happening.

“Don’t get fucked up, London.”

“I’m just saying.” I laughed.

Genesis leaned up even more. The look on his face let me know he didn’t like my little joke.

“And let me just say, it ain’t another man walking this Earth that would ever be that girl’s father but me. That goes for you too.” He winked. “I knew from the first moment I slid between your thighs that you belonged to me. You had the game messed up when you slipped out of the room. But looks like the universe had other plans.” He glanced at Paris, then back to me. “When I met you and felt the inside of you with no rubber, I didn’t give a damn about the consequences, even though I didn’t think you would get pregnant. I really like you, London.”

“I really like you too, Genesis.” I blushed.

He smiled while I rubbed Paris’s back as her eyes closed.

“Good, because I have a question.”

“What’s your question?”
