I raise an eyebrow, sizing him up. “Are you suggesting that we go out together, on a date?”
“You call it the ‘d-word’ all you want. Doesn’t mean I’m giving you that d.” Liam winks at me. “I’m calling it breakfast.”
“I wasn’t asking for your dick!” I shoot back, smacking his arm.
“I’m beginning to notice a violent tendency in you, Bristol.”
I snort. Seriously? He’s noticing it now? “You’re cute, but you’re not very observant.” I punched him when we were kids for being a jerk. Is it only now dawning on him? They say that boys take longer to mature, does it also take them longer to grow some brains and common sense?
“Not observant?” He takes pause and tilts his head, staring at me. “I’ve caught you from falling when you’ve fainted how many times?”
I point at him. “That’s not fair. Anyone can notice that when your eyes roll back in your head.”
He scoots back onto the bed, sitting beside me. “Is that what you think happens? That’s a cute description, but you get more of a blank look on your face, like you just mentally checked out.”
I stick my tongue out at Liam and he leans closer, his hand on my cheek, his mouth capturing mine, taking my tongue past his lips.
Holy hell, the kiss is fire and my body tingles in all the right ways.
One kiss is like stoking the fire, and I can’t stop myself, nor do I want to when it comes to the way he makes me feel when his mouth is on mine.
He pulls me closer, lying on his side, his hand grazing my cheek and into my hair, caressing the nape of my neck. A shiver courses through me, and I tangle my legs with his, pulling him closer.
Liam’s fingers move down to my ass, my shirt riding up slightly and his hand over my bare flesh sends tingles throughout my body.
Each kiss is more pronounced as he slowly backs off.
“Liam?” Already, I’m panting and gasping. My heart pounds wildly in my chest and the room spins as I try to catch my breath.
“How about we grab breakfast, and you spend the weekend with me?”
“Spend the weekend with you, here?” I ask. “Are you inviting yourself to stay in my dorm? That’s ballsy, even for you.”
Liam grins. “No, actually. I’m inviting you to come back with me to EU and stay at my house. It’ll just be the girls tonight at the house, plus Zeke. I want you to get to know my friends and us to spend time together alone. Assuming we can do that and not kill each other.” His lips linger over mine before he kisses me again.
“But I like threatening you with death.” A smile spreads across my face. “In all seriousness, why do you want me to hang out with your friends?”
“My last partner was strictly friends-with-benefits. I’d like us to be more than just fuck buddies. Actual friends.”
“You’re asking a lot.” I laugh. “And I didn’t say I was going to sleep with you.”
“Good, because I don’t think you’re ready for all this spice yet.” Liam gestures at himself. “You might need to procure a doctor’s note for what I’ve got planned.”
My eyes widen and I smack his chest.
“You’re too much!” I can’t help but laugh as I rest my forehead against his shirt. Liam wraps his arms around me.
His embrace is strong and surprisingly comforting. “So, about that alone time at your house. When do you plan on that happening if I’m hanging out with your friends all weekend?”
“There’s such a thing as nighttime, when people go to sleep.” He’s staring at me, trying not to laugh. “Besides, I have a bigger bed.”
My eyes light up. “Oh.”
“Sleep.” He says again. “Stop thinking about my cock, dirty girl.”
“I’m not thinking about your cock.” My voice catches in my throat. At least I wasn’t until he mentioned it. My gaze moves down between us, and I swear I feel his member twitch. Probably my imagination, because he’s not sporting that massive boner like he had been when we first woke.
“Sure, you’re not.” The wry grin sends a shiver right through me. His gaze never wavers, forcing me to look away first.
