Elias lifts a piece of paper off the table and passes it to me. “This.” I scan the document and see our names, but have trouble understanding what it means.

“What is this?”

“We’ve all legally changed our last names to Rivers,” he explains.

My jaw drops open as I gape up at them. “You what?”

“You know we can’t all legally marry you,” Sly says, making me turn my shocked face to him. “So we thought this is the next best thing.”

“Marry me,” I whisper, glancing down at the paper. “I feel like I’m missing something here,” I tell them in confusion. “You haven’t even?—”

As if on cue, the five of them all drop to one knee. Pete and Dex grinning like love-struck fools, Elias smiling softly, while Sly and Jagger stare intently at me.

Elias holds up my ring, the one I haven’t seen since Russia, and was too nervous to ask about. “I wanted to make sure to do this properly this time,” he says.

“And we want to make sure you know what putting it on means,” Pete adds.

“I didn’t think we needed to ask, since you’re already ours,” Sly tells me. “But they convinced me that the choice needed to be yours.”

My heart fills with joy and love, and I’m unable to contain myself as I yell, “Yes!”

Pete and Dex laugh as Elias smiles at me. “Wren,” he says with a chuckle. “We didn’t ask the question yet.”

“Oh, right!” I say, practically bouncing on my heels in excitement. “Go on then.”

It’s Sly who speaks. “Will you marry us?”

“Yes!” I yell instantly as I run toward Elias and let him put the ring back on my finger where it belongs. Then I throw my arms around his neck and kiss him. I go down the line, kissing each of them in turn.

When Sly finally pulls away from our kiss, he points to the paper and explains. “We can’t officially get married, but we thought by changing our last names to match yours, it signifies the same sort of commitment.”

“Wait,” I say, trying to comprehend what he’s saying. “Are you saying this was our engagement and wedding? Are we considering ourselves married now?”

He gives me one of those rare Sly smiles and nods. “Yes. You're our wife now, little vixen.”

“Ohh… I like the sound of that… husband,” I say back witha grin. “Now what do we do?” I ask, scanning the faces of the five men I love.

“Now,” Pete says with a grin. “We consummate the marriage.”

Dex smiles.“You’re wearing the perfect wedding night outfit already.”

“You guys seem overdressed,” I comment, looking at their tuxedo-clad bodies.

“Something we can easily fix,” Elias says, shrugging off his jacket.

“There’s only one question left,” Sly tells me.

“What’s that?” I ask as my body starts to heat just from their lustful gazes.

“Who gets you first?”

Jagger lifts his hands and signs,"Time to run, Wren.”My eyes lift to meet his, and he takes a quick step toward me, making me squeal as I turn and run up the stairs, hearing their feet pounding up behind me.

I giggle as I run into the bedroom and throw myself into the middle of the bed, knowing that it doesn’t matter who comes through that door first, I’ll get my chance with all of them before the night is through.

I couldn’t ask for anything more. Being here, with the men I love, is more than I even knew to dream of before I met them. The four of them may have been prisoners, but I was the one who had been in the dark all my life, until the five of them pulled me into the light and showed me what it meant to be alive, to be loved.

They might have been prisoners, fugitives, and killers, and yet somehow, they’re the only people who’ve ever treated me right.
