“They snuck up on us,” Dex tells him, gesturing down the alley.

“Whoa, you killed them?” Harry asks with wide eyes.

“We did,” Dex confirms.

“Holy shit! I didn’t realize you guys had it in you.”

“Are you upset?” I ask, trying to understand what he’s thinking, but he shakes his head.

“No, I’m impressed! Maybe there’s hope for you yet.”

“Let’s get out of here,” Sly says as he and Jagger join us. We don’t hesitate to hustle back the way we came.

“Did you get what we need?” I ask Elias, grabbing his hand as we walk.

“Yes, I think we got footage of the entire warehouse. Luckily, it wasn’t too complex in there. We recorded it so we can review it when we’re in a safer location.”

I nod as we continue our trek back to our car. It’s not until we’re inside that Pete breaks the silence. “Hey, Harry?”

“Yeah, kid?”

“Know any good places in town to get some tacos?”

CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

PETE

The answer was a resoundingyes. There were decent tacos to be had in Moscow, and thanks to our new friend, Harry, we are back at the hotel after picking up said tacos and dropping him off at his home, chowing down on some delectable Mexican cuisine.

“Slow down there, bird boy,” Elias says as I finish my third taco.

“That’s Falcon, smart guy,” I say before reaching for a fourth one.

“Why don’t I get a name?” Wren asks from Jagger’s lap, where she’s currently perched.

“Because you already have a bird’s name,” I tell her.

“We are not using bird names,” Sly says, sounding annoyed. “Let’s just put a big red X through that idea and forget about it.”

“You’re no fun,” I pout at him.

“You still haven’t come up with a decent group name. Why don’t you worry about that?” Elias says before biting into his second taco.

“Hmm,” I hum in thought, knowing he’s right. I watch as Wren holds up a taco over her shoulder for Jagger to take a bite from. She’s so fucking sweet, I just want to take a bite out of her.

Maybe our name should be something to do with food, as it had been one of the ways we had bonded as a group. “The Nibblers,” I say aloud, regretting it instantly. Elias raises an eyebrow at me as if I’m a moron, and I shake my head. “Forget that,” I say, quickly trying to come up with something better. “The Hungry Heroes.”

“Dude,” Dex says, shaking his head at me. “They’re getting worse. Let someone else take a stab at it.”

“I don’t see anyone else offering up any ideas,” I say, gesturing to everyone as some lettuce flies from my taco onto the floor.Whoops.

“What about the Iron Widows?” Dex suggests.

“Hmm, not half bad.”

“No, that’s terrible. It makes us sound like a bunch of women,” Elias says, shaking his head.

“Let's hear your idea then, if it’s so easy,” I prod him.
