“Did they do anything else to any of you?” my baba asks.
“No. They just wanted our venom. But like we told you, we made sure that they only got the non lethal one.”
“Did you ever hear what they wanted your venom for?” Sebastiano asks.
“There was a couple of them that liked to talk while they milked us. They were trying to make a serum that would make it easy to kill shifters. And they heard that our venom could do that. I don’t know if they realized that it won’t kill them.”
“And you said none of you saw any other shifters, right?”
“Nope, none of us did. I’m the one who smelled others, but never saw them.” Oliver says.
“That’s something we have to be careful of. We don’t want to hurt any other shifters. But they’re going to be scared. So keep that in mind when we go in.” Baba says to us.
“YES!” Sebastiano yells, scaring all of us.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” Valentino yells back at him.
I chuckle after my heart stops trying to jump out of my chest.
“Franco found the blueprints for the facility. The date is two years ago. So they could’ve done interior renovations. But I want you all to look at it and see if you can tell where you were or even the route they took you on. And let’s hope they built it to their own specifications. And that they didn’t change anything.”
We all look at the blueprints on the computer. Seraphina and her brothers are trying to figure out where they were.
“We need to see where the loading dock is. I can trace back from there.” Oliver says.
I lean back on the couch to give them all more room to look at the computer screen. I make sure I keep physical contact with Seraphina. I can feel her body getting rigid as they look at the plans. I can’t imagine how she’s feeling. The memories she must be going through of her parents and the twins. I’m going to make sure Matilda and Paul pay for all of this. No one hurts my girl and gets away with it. Never again.
CHAPTER ELEVEN
Seraphina
The blueprints are a little hard to read, but we finally figured out where the loading docks are. And then Oliver was able to track it back to the area we were kept in. On the blueprints, it looks like the layout of the apartment we were in. Sebastiano says that’s a really good thing. Because that means they didn’t alter the building after the plans were drawn up.
I’m worried about everyone that’s going into the building. Because we don’t know who else is being kept in there. What if they attack our family? There could be other Taipan snakes. And they won’t know that we’re the good guys.
“Maybe you should let one of us go into the rooms first. Wait. Hear me out.” I say as I look at Apollo. “There could be more Taipans in there. And if they bite us, we’ll be fine.”
“How do you know that? What if they use their toxic venom?” Apollo frowns at me.
“Well…we used to bite each other when we were younger.” Oliver chuckles.
“And here I thought my boys were a handful. You all bit each other? For fun? All my boys did was sit on their sister and fart on each other.” Zeus laughs.
“They still do that.” Artemis laughs.
“Why do guys think farts are so funny? I swear all my brothers act like it’s their life’s mission to fart on me every time they come near me. My dad did it too.” I smile at the memory of my dad.
“Farts will always be funny.” Eros smiles.
“These are the times I wish I had more daughters.” Zeus smiles.
“Well you have a Pudge.” Apollo shrugs.
Everyone laughs.
“Let’s get our plan down and get back home.” Zeus says as he chuckles, then he looks at Apollo. “You’re not going to like this, but Seraphina is right, if they really are immune to their own venom, the three of them are the best ones to go in first. We’ll be right behind them.”
“Are we thinking of going in shifted?” Eros asks.
