“Helloooo, little witchy witch,” Orin purred. “I was wondering when you would come looking for me. You missed me a lot sooner than I expected. That warms the cockles of my heart.”

CHAPTEREIGHTY-FIVE

His casual, amused attitude only ratcheted up her ire. “You don’t have a heart!”

He chuckled again as his eyes gleamed with amusement. “Ouch, little witch, you wound me.”

The look on his face stated she’d done the exact opposite. “Whatare you doing?”

“Judging by your uptight nature, I can tell it’s been a long time since you last had it, but youdoknow what sex is, don’t you?”

Sahira planted her hands on her hips. “That’s not what I mean.”

“Then pray, enlighten me; what do you mean?”

“You’re here screwing around while your brother nearly died! I always knew you were a complete asshole, but this… this...” She sputtered as she tried to form words. “This is a whole new low, even foryou!”

Orin’s casual demeanor vanished, his hands dropped, and he sat straighter on the bed. Sahira looked away when his movement caused the sheet to shift enough to reveal the glistening head of his cock.

“Don’t be such a prude, little witchy witch. And which brother?” Orin asked.

His chiding tone set her teeth on edge. “Cole.”

“Is he okay?”

“Yes, no thanks to you.”

“And Lexi?”

“Awake and ruling the realms again.” She glared at him as she ignored the fact he hadn’t bothered to cover himself. “Cole saved her but nearly died in the process. It washorrible! Thankfully, Lexi was able to save him, but they could have usedyourhelp.”

With a casual wave of his hand, he dismissed her words. “It’s good they have each other. What of Brokk and Varo?”

Sahira rolled her eyes. She’d known him for far longer than she would have liked, but she still couldn’t believe howsmallhis conscience was and how easily he could dismiss his brother’s near death.

“Varo is fine. No one knows where Brokk or Kaylia are. They haven’t returned, and there’s been no sign of them; it would be nice if you returned to help us search for them.”

Orin smiled as he settled against the headboard and propped his arms behind his head once more. “Well, you see, little witchy witch, that’s where the problem lies. I’d be happy to return, I’ve been trying to do so for weeks, but I’m stuck here.”

Sahira glanced around the large, well-appointed room. “What do you mean you’restuckhere?”

His casual demeanor vanished, and his eyes glinted with a barely simmering fury that unnerved her more than walking into his orgy did.

“Welcome to the Cursed Realm, Sahira. Once you come here, there’s no turning back.”

Sahira shook her head in denial. “That’s not true. You’re making it up so you can use it as an excuse to fuck around while everyone else worried, suffered, and nearly died.”

His smirk returned. “You know me so well, but you’re wrong on this. I asked you to take the tracking spell off me, and you refused. Now, you’ll pay the consequences of that as, like me, you’re stuck here too.”

“I have a portal—”

Before she could finish speaking, Orin interrupted her. “Do you?”

Sahira spun to find the portal she’d created was gone. She gaped at the wallpapered wall with its wood-paneled wainscotting.

Her portal should beright there.“What happened to it?”

She waved a hand while envisioning the area of the human realm she had left behind. A new portal should open, but nothing happened.
