He caught her wrists and pinned them above her head again.Kallie's gaze intensified as he bent his head to her neck, biting down hard enough to bruise, his hips snapping forward in sharp, uneven jerks.

His gut coiled, unbearable pleasure filled him, and when Kallie arched beneath him with a whispered, "Come in me," Finn shattered. His release hit him like a punch, his vision whiting out for a dizzying second as he spilled into her, his hips grinding against hers until every last shudder had been wrung from him.

For a long moment, Finn braced over her, his forehead pressed to hers, their breaths mingling in the scant space between them.Kallie's fingers traced lazy circles on his sweat-damp back, her legs loosely hooked around his thighs. The adrenaline from the fight with Mace had burned off, leaving bone-deep exhaustion and a satisfaction that hummed beneath his skin.

Finn collapsed onto his side beside her, his chest heaving as he dragged in gulps of air.The room smelled of sweat and sex, the sheets tangled around their legs like shackles.Kallie turned her head toward him, her hair sticking to her damp temples.

She trailed her fingers down his chest, tracing the fresh scratches she'd left there.

Finn caught her wrist, looking at her neck. He'd put his own marks on her.

Gazing down her body, there were also kiss marks on her breasts, her stomach, and her thighs. She had whisker burn between her legs.He met her gaze and swallowed. He hadn't given her enough time to get used to him yet.Having sex was new to her.

"Are you okay?"He lifted her arm to see more of her.

She pulled her hand free of his hold."Are you seriously asking me that now?"She paused, and when he stayed silent, she snorted."You've got scratches all over you because I was out of my head."

He looked at his arms, his ribs, his hips. She sobered and sat up.

"About the fight..."she said.

"There's nothing to talk about. If Mace or one of the others touch you, I'll kill them."

"No, you won't."

He raised his brows."Do I need to remind you why I spent sixteen years in prison?"

She shook her head.He sat up, kissed her softly, and got up out of bed to take a shower.

"Didn't like his hands on you," he said at last, the words rough, simple, and true."You're mine."

Her gaze softened, and she nodded."I've always belonged to you. That won't change."

He walked into the bathroom. His thoughts were no longer on Mace but on Kallie. The burn where she'd dragged her nails over his skin was a reminder of how passionate she'd become. He rinsed off, leaving the water running, knowing she liked to jump in the shower to wash.

When he got back to the room, he sat on the side of the bed."Water is still warm."

She threw back the sheet.Moonlight from the half-open window cut across her shoulder, highlighting the fresh scratches he'd left.He reached out, tracing one with his thumb.

She shivered but didn't pull away."You're staring again."

"Yeah," he admitted, unapologetic. His fingers drifted down her arm to her wrist."You're going to have bruises tomorrow."

She leaned closer and kissed him."Nothing that won't heal."

He stayed on the bed as she walked across the room and went into the bathroom.Alone, he lowered his head into his hands.
