Liam was dragging him to some trees at the edge of the green, but there were only a few trees. It wasn’t like the woods they were in on their bike ride.

“We can’t do anything here, Liam. Someone will see us.”

As much as he’d reached the end of his restraint in holding back from just taking Liam, this was not the place he was going to do it. The public indecency aside, when he got this man into bed, it wouldn’t be for a quick fuck. Liam pushed Austin against a tree and kissed him. He was surprisingly strong– well, not really a surprise given how muscular he was. He liked this demanding side of Liam. Their tongues tangled together, and Liam had his thigh between Austin’s legs, then his hand stroked Austin’s cock, which was rock hard. His brain had gone offline, and all he could do was savour the kiss and grip Liam’s arse. A wolf whistle snapped them out of their horniness. They looked around and saw Tony and Gerard giving them a thumbs-up. Those fuckers. Liam and Austin laughed. It looked like the guys weren’t going anywhere, so they’d need to speak to them.

“Did you really want to do something here?” asked Austin, getting his breath back.

“No, but that counts as ourfifth date.”

“What?”

“Our fifth date, so when I come round tonight, we don’t need to wait until after dinner.”

“Huh?”

“Well, I intend to have that beast inside me at least twice, so we won’t have time for social niceties.”

Liam smiled at him before kissing him on the cheek and walking off, waving at his friends. Austin stood in front of the tree with the biggest hard-on he’d ever had in his life.

It was six thirty.Dinner was resting in the oven, Maisie was with Nathan, and Liam would be here any second. Why was he nervous? He felt pressure to make sure this night went perfectly, and based on this afternoon, Liam was clear on what he wanted to happen tonight. He just hoped he met Liam’s expectations. It would be the first time he’d slept with someone he had feelings for since Ellie. The one-night stand last summer had just been his way of testing the water and had meant nothing. Liam was the complete opposite; he meant everything to Austin. There was a knock on the door, and he rushed forward, then stopped to catch his breath before opening it.

Liam looked gorgeous, but then he always did. Tonight he was wearing a polo shirt, showing off his huge biceps, and it hugged his chest perfectly. For a second Austin was worried that he might be cold– it had been warm today, but was still cold at night– then he saw the jacket he was holding. Austin stood back to let him in. Once the door was closed, he leant down for a kiss. Just a gentle one. If they went all in, then dinner would be abandoned, and he wanted to cook for Liam.

“Dinner’s ready,” he said, holding Liam’s hand.

“Really? You want to havedinner first?”

“I wanted to cook for you.”

Liam gripped Austin’s hand and tried to drag him towards the bedroom, but he used his body weight to hold his ground. Liam was strong, but Austin had a good thirty pounds on him.

“Liam, come here,” he pulled him into his embrace. “What’s all this rush about? Is everything okay?”

“Can’t I just be horny?”

He chuckled. “Yes, but it feels like you just want to get it over with.”

Liam flushed.

“What’s wrong?”

“You’re a lot older than me.”

“Er . . . thank you!”

“And that means more experience.”

“Not necessarily.”

“I mean, I know I’ve been with a lot of guys.”

Austin tensed. He hadn’t meant to, but he didn’t enjoy thinking of Liam with other men. Of course, everyone had a past. He’d been with the same person for a decade, and Liam had given no sign he had an issue with that.

“Relax, it’s not that many. Well, not by gay standards.”

Austin wanted to ask him how many it was, but then thought better of it. That was an inappropriate question. Besides, he might be expected to respond, and he didn’t know his number. It wasn’t huge, but he’d never counted.

“You have nothing to be stressed about. I’ll make it so good for you,” said Austin.
