WILL YOU MARRY US, SUNSHINE?

A sob catches in my throat as I glance to my right. Eddie is on one knee, his gorgeous, hopeful smile in full effect.

He flips open a ring box, his hands trembling. “I love you, Katherine Marie Wilder. My beautiful Kiki. What do you say? Will you spend forever with us?”

I cover my face with my hands, my emotions in an uproar as I sink to the ground next to him. “Yes, of course I’ll spend forever with you three.”

He slides the ring onto my finger and it’s stunning. A vintage round-cut diamond that catches the light nestled inside a halo of smaller diamonds. A homage to the home and heart he restored.

“It’s the most gorgeous ring ever.” I hug them both, holding my guys tight.

Theo high fives his dad. “I did good, right?”

Eddie ruffles his hair. “You did perfect.” Then he leans back on his heels, fixing me with a strange look. “Wait a second. You said usthree. Are you including Gus in the mix?”

Damn, talk about a Freudian slip. I chuckle, nibbling on the tip of my thumb. Hey, I still have a few nervous habits hangingaround. “Well, no. Not exactly. Although… maybe, but then it would be four…”

Eddie cocks a brow at me, confusion evident on his face. “Kiki, what are you saying?”

I shrug, trying to play it cool but failing miserably. “I’m late. So, I’m not sure, but I think maybe?”

The next second, I’m in his arms, his breath warm against my neck. “We need to take a test. We need to know.”

I wave him off. “We can, when we get back.”

“Or,” he says, pulling me to my feet, one hand holding me and the other holding Theo, “we go now and see if we have even more things to celebrate tonight. Sound good?”

Looking at the excitement in his face eases any lingering doubts about a baby, although he’s wrong about one thing. Life with him doesn’t just sound good.

It sounds perfect.

The end

Next stop in Sparkwood: Rising Sparks.

Zane is the last single man standing at Black Lotus, and he'd like to keep it that way.

He's watched every man he knows fall, and he's had exactly one opinion about it.

Not him. Never him.

Then the Tattoo World Tour drops him into the path of Luz, and for the first time, he thinks maybe he's found his person. Someone just like him. Someone who gets it.

Until he gets the call to come home.

That's where he meets Margot, a nurse with a hobby that would make lesser men blush, zero patience for his bullshit, and absolutely no interest in being impressed.

She's building his mother's bucket list one adventure at a time, and she refuses to let him look away from the life he's been too busy living to actually feel.

Zane thinks he knows what he wants.

He has no idea what he needs.

Until her.
