Cyber,Havoc and the man I had played pool with were in handcuffs by the time we got out there. They didn't look worried about any of it. Another normal occurrence in the Savage Sons clubhouse I was guessing. Fang stood talking to a man. I couldn't see the man's face, but I didn't have to. I knew those shoulders, the grey hair.
My dad.
This night had gone from bad to worse.
“That's a lot of blood.” I heard my father say and opened my mouth to tell him what had happened. It was only Monster’s warning look that stopped me. Whatever was going on now he wanted me to stay quiet and for once in my life I was ok with that. When my dad turned around all hell was going to break out. Everyone knew why my father was there, and it had nothing to do with the bogus charges he was arresting Monster’s friends on. And everything to do with me.
“Someone got out of hand with a guest. No harm done.” Fang spread his hands wide, but his face gave him away. My father turned to see what he was looking at. One glance down at my hand clutched in Monster’s and his frown deepened. Then he saw my face.
“What the fuck did you do to my daughter?” Menacingly, my father took a step forward. “Angela, come here.”
Monster’s hand tightened around mine, keeping me locked to his side.
“Monster didn't do anything to Angela,” Cyber spat from his place with the other handcuffed men. “Get the fuck off me.” He started to struggle as a uniformed officer tried to drag him away. Iris stepped forward, as if to calm him and was sent flying. Cyber made a sound like a lion and charged headfirst. And all the while my father stood there staring at me. I had never seen such disappointment on his face before.
“Come here, Angela, this madness has gone on long enough. I don't know why you are here or how they are keeping you but…”
“I'm here by choice, Daddy.”
“I said come here.”
“My fiancée's place is with me.” Monster’s voice was low but a hush fell, only punctuated by Iris’ sobs as Cyber was dragged out.
“What did you say?” Another step forward and my father would be in Monster’s face. Both men were breathing heavily, neither one of them backing down.
“I said my fiancée isn't going anywhere with you.” To prove his point, Monster slipped in front of me.
“Your fiancée, Angela? Please tell me this is some sort of joke.”
I shook my head. I didn't know if he could see me over Monster’s wide frame but I didn't trust myself to speak either.
“Cuff him and get him out of here.”
“Daddy.” I pushed forward as Monster's hand was dragged from mine. Clutching at my father’s shirt sleeve, I felt the first prickling of tears. This wasn't how it was meant to happen. This wasn't part of the plan. “Daddy, please.”
He shook my hand off, sending me reeling back. “You've made your bed, Angela. Now it's time to lie in it. Get him the fuck out of my sight!”
“And what exactly am I being arrested for?” There was no emotion whatsoever in Monster's voice.
“Whatever I want, something will stick.”
There was a moment of absolute silence and then Monster started laughing. Yanking his whole body towards me, he pressed his lips to mine. “It's ok. I'll be home before you know it.” Another kiss and this time I felt the tip of his tongue slide against my lip. “Then we can start planning our wedding.” He deepened the kiss. “Fang?”
“We will watch out for her and someone’s already making some calls. You should all be out by morning.” Stepping up to my side, Fang's hand came down on my shoulder. I tried to take comfort in it. But I couldn't. I had everything planned out. And this wasn't part of the plan.
“Monster, I'm sorry,” I called after him.
“Nothing to be sorry for, baby, I'll be home soon.” He grinned over his shoulder. “Keep our bed warm for me.”

MONSTER
I wasn't outby morning. I wasn't even out the following day. Three days Angela’s asshole of a father kept me locked up. I had done longer but there was something different about this time. It felt different, like this was just the beginning, or maybe I was just imagining it. It could have been because Angela was waiting for me. Or at least I hoped she was.
And that was the truth. If being locked up gave you anything, it was time to think. And my thoughts always strayed to her. Me, Monster, thinking about a woman, having feelings for a woman, because I did have feelings for her. I wasn't quite sure what those feelings were just yet but they were there.
When I thought about her my chest ached as well as my balls.
