I dragged my attention back to my president.

“What the hell is she doing here, Fang?” I gritted out, running a shaky hand through my hair. “Shit.” I tightened it into a fist. This couldn't be happening. It was meant to be a simple job. I had been promised it would be. And now the girl I had seduced on The Family’s orders was there? In my town? Drinking in a bar owned by my club? None of that shit was meant to happen. “Has she asked about me?” Forcing myself to calm down was a must before I pushed open those doors. If I didn’t...well, I was angry enough to destroy the place.

“She asked Gypsy. Hansel is keeping her amused.”

I froze before slowly turning from Fang to lock eyes on the doors like it would make them open for me. Angela was with Hansel? For some reason that made me even angrier. I knew how Hansel liked to keep women amused.

“If he…” I faltered. Was I jealous? It sounded like I was jealous, which was just absurd. “What the fuck does she want, Fang?”

“You, I’m guessing. But don’t worry, I’ve put a call into Gio. This is his mess so I'll make sure he sorts it out for you.”

I nodded my thanks, not trusting myself to speak.

“When you go in there, Monster, keep your cool. Let her come to you...”

I barely heard him as I pushed my way into the bar. My eyes did a quick sweep. It was all I needed. I spotted her straight away, bent over the pool table, round ass pressed against Hansel’s hulking frame as he guided her cue for her.

My jaw set angrily and I marched up to the bar. The talking around me hushed as I made my way over to Gypsy who was staring at me with so much sympathy in her eyes that it made me feel bad. She felt sorry for me. And I hated it when people felt sorry for me.

I might not know why Angela was there but it didn’t matter. She had made a mistake tracking me down. “A beer thanks, Gypsy love.” I let my voice carry. My eyes on the pool table as I slid onto a stool.

Slowly, she looked over her shoulder.. Her dark eyes found me and a bright triumphant smile spread across her face. If I had my way, she wouldn’t be smiling like that for long. I would hear her out and then get her the fuck out of my town and out of my life. And if she didn’t want to go then I would make her.

By any means necessary.

Even as I watched, Hansel bent over her, whispering something in her ear as his eyes slid over to me. She said something in return, throwing her head back and laughing. Hansel's face creased into a frown.

I didn’t move. I just kept watching them. The beer on the bar by my elbow was forgotten. She was just as gorgeous as I remembered, maybe even more so. Not that it mattered how stunning she was. Her being there wasn’t part of the plan. And the sooner she left, the better.

Angela reached up and, using both hands, she pulled Hansel’s head down to hers, her lips hungry against his. I was out of my chair before I could even think about it. She wasn’t my woman; she was merely an inconvenience I didn’t need - but the sight of her kissing another man caused the rage to bubble over. She wasn’t Hansel’s to kiss, She wasn’t mine either but that was beside the point.

Hansel already had her at arm’s length by the time I got to them. “Brother.” He nodded his head in acknowledgement. But the smirk on his face couldn't be ignored.

“Just what the fuck do you think you are doing?” The words left my mouth in a hiss. I wasn’t even sure which one of them I was talking to. Seeing Angela again had stirred something inside me that I didn’t expect and seeing her press her lips to one of my club brothers was enough to cause the red haze to descend.

“Hello, Monster.” Angela flashed a smile that told me she knew exactly what he was doing. Her kissing Hansel had been for my benefit.

“I’ll get to you in a fucking minute.” My eyes narrowed as I stared at the older man beside her. “I’ll repeat, what the fuck are you doing?”

Hansel's face creased into a frown. “I was keeping Angela company until you got here and…”

My fist smashed into his face before I could stop myself. He didn’t go down but the force of the blow did send him backwards a step. When he straightened, he was rubbing his chin. “I’ll give you that one because you’re in shock, but next time you think you can do something like that I will knock you on your ass, boy.”

“Monster!” Angela sounded outraged but I knew she wasn’t. There was a light gleaming in her eyes. She was enjoying it. “He was just being friendly…”

Curling my hand around her upper arm, I tugged her towards me. “I just bet he fucking was. Why are you here Angela? In fact, I don't want to have this conversion here, go outside and wait by the bikes. Don’t fucking touch anything.”

She opened her mouth to say something but Fang’s voice carried, interrupting whatever argument she was about to give. His words were loud and insistent. “Take her to the clubhouse, Monster, and get this shit sorted.”

I nodded my head in thanks before narrowing my eyes at Hansel.

“Don’t ever touch what doesn’t belong to you again,” I snapped.

I dragged Angela from the bar. What I’d said to Hansel didn’t make any sense. Angela wasn’t mine; she had never been and would never be mine. She was someone I fucked, that was all. I didn’t even know why I’d said those words out loud.

“Will you get the fuck off me?” She tried to claw my hand free, her painted nails digging into my skin as I pulled us both outside and into the drizzle that had just started. “Monster, this isn’t how you should treat a lady.”

Spinning her to face me, I stepped into her space. It should have intimidated her. But the look that blazed into her eyes was lust, not fear.
