Tommy

“Where the fuck is she?” I slid the key into the door and pushed it open. The apartment was in total darkness. Not that I needed the light to tell me she wasn't there anyway.

Raze had done that when I had met him outside.

“I don't know,” he admitted, moving behind me. “I didn't pass her on the road, she promised me she would stay where she was and let me bring her home and when I got back with the bike she was gone. There was no sign of her on the road, Tommy. None. it was like she disappeared into thin air.

My heart sank. “Girls don't just disappear, Raze.” I growled. Except they did and often. And Briella had disappeared once before. I pushed the thought away. If Acco had gotten to her then I would never forgive myself.

“You said you had eyes on her.” Angrily I flipped the light switch, blinking at the sudden brightness. The room was as it always was, but I wasn't expecting anything different. If Briella had gone back there, then Raze would have caught up with her, or I would have,

One of us would have seen her.

“You fucking said…'' Face twisted in anger, I took a step into his space. I wasn't angry at him, not really. But I needed someone to punish. “What the hell were you thinking letting her wander around the clubhouse on her own?”

“I didn't. I left her at the bar and went to find you. I thought you were in your office,” he growled into my face. There was no sign of him backing down from me. A very real anger shone out of his eyes. “I went to find you. How was anyone meant to know you had gone back to your room?” His eyes narrowed. “Tell me, Tommy, because I’m fucking curious after all the fuss you made about keeping Briella. Why the hell were you in your room naked with Tammy of all people?”

The accusation in his voice made me take a step back. “You think I was fucking around withTammy?”

He didn't answer me but I didn't really need one. I knew what he thought, the same as I knew what Briella must have thought.

“Fuck off.” I had to get away from him. Walking towards the bedroom, I stopped in the doorway and groaned. The room was a mess. Clothes and underwear strewn across the bed.

Briella had got ready here. She had made a real effort in looking sexy for me. Of course I always thought she was sexy.

“Fuck.” I gathered up her pillow, bringing it to my face and inhaled deeply.

She had looked stunning tonight. Her dress was just short enough to tease at shapely legs, and it had clung to her figure without being too revealing. She got dressed up and came looking for me.

Fate was a cruel bitch indeed that she had put Briella outside my door the exact same moment that Tammy had been leaving.

“I didn't cheat on her, Raze. I know how it must have looked, but I would never disrespect her like that.”

I could hear him step up behind me but I didn't turn. I just stood there, the pillow muffling my words.

“Tammy has been helping me pack up some of my stuff. I didn't even realise she was there until I got out of the shower.”

“Wait? What? Why was Tammy helping you pack?”

With a sigh I turned to him. “I was going to move in here with Briella. Surprise her. Fuck.” I drew out the word.

Where the hell was she? If she wasn't there then where else could she have gone? As far as I knew she had no real close friends. Maybe to her father.

“I need to find her.” Lifting my eyes to Raze, I found him with his phone in his hands, typing away furiously.

“I'm having someone check her dad’s,” he answered simply. “You really messed up, Tommy.”

I couldn't argue with that. I had messed up. Right from the moment I saw her I had messed up. And now she was out there somewhere in the dark alone. With a dark fae after her.

My intentions may have been good when it came to her, but that didn’t mean I hadn't royally messed things up.

“Give me the damn pillow. I'm guessing it's the one she usually sleeps on the way you are holding it to you.” Raze rolled his eyes.

“Why?”

“Because just this once, I'm gonna play sniffer dog. Now give me the damn pillow before I change my mind.
