I watched as he stalked over to his bike, bending he dug around in one of the bags. And when he came back, the soft buttery leather jacket was in his hands. “Here.” He slipped it over my shoulders, and I sank into it happily. It smelt like him. “It’s so warm.” I shrugged my arm into the sleeves. It was miles too big, but somehow that just made me like it even more.

“I want you to wear it, Cali. I want you to wear it every single day.” Gathering the front of the leather in his fist, he drew me towards him. His lips brushing over mine as the rain came down. “I want you to wear it every single day, so everyone knows you are mine.”

Riding a bike, or at least on the back of Truths bike wasn’t that hard. In fact, it was exhilarating in a fearing for your life kind of way. But it was definitely something I could get used to.

And maybe that was scarier still. The thought that I wanted to get used to it.

We had dropped my bag back to Gems. Who had squealed and clapped her hands when she had seen us together. But Truth hadn’t wanted us to stay long. Just a quick hello and even quicker goodbye. I knew what was going on. He wanted me back in the bedroom and quickly. Or maybe that was what I wanted. It was kind of hard to tell the difference with the giant machine purring between my thighs.

My legs were actually shaking when he finally pulled it to a stop.

“I thought we were going back to your place?” I eyed the squat building in front of us when he pulled the helmet, he had demanded I wear off my head. Sending my hair sticking up in every direction.

Truths eyes clouded. “Wicked is there.”

“I like your brother. So far, I like all your friends.”

His lips quirked up at the corners. “He is there having an orgy.”

I must have paled because his smile grew wider. A flash of white against his tan face.

“I thought here might be a bit more private.”

“Yeah.” I was still trying to work through the fact that Wicked was having an orgy. Was it something they both did? “Yeah here is better.” I finished lamely. Did Truth usually partake in these sex parties? Was it something he enjoyed? I wasn’t sure how I felt about that.

“Did you not want to join in?”

He shot me a puzzled look. “With my brother? No Cali.”

“How about if it wasn’t with your brother?”

For a second we just stood there, inches away from each other in the drizzle.

“Maybe if it’s what you wanted to do.” He finally answered softly. “But then again, maybe not. I don’t like the idea of seeing you with another man.”

“How about another woman?” I teased. It was amazing how easy it was to be around him. Like I had known him months instead of years.

“Only if I could watch… no scrap that. She can watch. No one touches you but me.” He wrapped his arm about my shoulders. Anchoring me to his side and trapping me there. “You need to make some calls today?”

“Yes, just several dozen, if I am going to stay for a while,” I admitted.

“Good.” Truths lips brushed against my hair. “You make all the call you need to make it happen.” He paused. “Are you ready?”

“Yeah… “ I didn’t know what I was meant to be ready for as he lead me into the clubhouse. Never letting go of me as we made ourselves down a long corridor and into the room where I had partied a few nights ago.

It was quieter now, just a low thrum of voices but even that dwindled to nothing as eyes turned towards us.

I wasn’t sure what I was ready for, but as I stared back at their silent shocked faces, I had a suspicion I wasn’t ready at all.

Chapter Twelve

Truth

Iknew what they saw when I lead Cali through the doorway to the main room. I knew, and I didn’t care. They saw what I wanted them to see.

I knew what it meant, bringing her to them with my colours on her back. She might not know, but they did.
