“You have been drinking….” it sat wrong to me that he wanted to ride which alcohol in his system. It went against everything I believed in.
“Yeah. You don’t think I’m sober enough to get you back safely?” His hand started to move over the small of my back. Slow, circles that set my body on fire.
“I think it’s illegal.”
He studied me for a second. “You are such a good girl Cali, I love it.”
I didn’t know what to say to that. So I kept my mouth shut.
“You want to grab a taxi instead? Or….I could find someone to drive us back. There’s got to be some sober people in there.” He cocked his head. “Maybe we could go back to Gems. It’s closer we could walk.”
“No.” My voice was sharp. I couldn’t take a man back to Gemma’s. I would never be that disrespectful to her when she had helped me out so much.
“Ok .” Truth dug in his pocket, producing a phone. But he didn’t make a call instead his fingers flew over the keys as he typed out a text message. When he finally looked up, he was grinning. “Won’t be long.”
“Ok,” I shivered. “Maybe we should go back inside until the taxi comes. It’s freezing out here.” To prove my point, I shivered again.
“You’re cold?” His breath blew over my face. “I can think of a few ways to warm you up Cali…. none of them involves going back into Cooks.” As if to prove his point, he stepped back into my space. Walking me backwards until my back hit the rough brick.
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah.” His lips hovered over mine. So close that our breath mingled in little white clouds.
“Like what?”
“Like this.” His lips came down hard. His tongue demanding access which I willingly gave him as my arms went around his neck. My body pressing against his.
He was right. This was a much better way to keep warm. Almost instantly, I forgot how cold I was. I couldn’t think of anything but the feel of his rock hard body against mine. I wanted to wrap my legs around his waist and rub myself shamelessly at what I could feel pressing against the zipper of his jeans.
Like he could read my dirty, dirty thoughts, his hand came up to lift my leg over his hip. He pressed that delicious bulge more firmly against me, and I couldn’t help it. I moaned.
“Jesus woman.” He bit at my bottom lip, pulling it into his mouth and sucking hard. “What are you doing to me?”
“Not nearly as much as I want to do.” I crooned right back at him. Hadn’t I come here to hook up with someone dangerous? To do something or someone I wasn’t meant to?
“Well, you don’t have long to wait now, Cali.” Stepping away from me, he held out his hand. My own went to his instinctively. “What….”
“Our lift is here.”
It was only then that I noticed the black van idling at the curb. “What do you mean? I thought you had called a cab?”
“I said I ad called someone to come and get us, and here he is.” He lifted his hand in a small wave.
My feet faltered. It was one thing making out with a biker it was entirely another to jump in a van with one. That had serial killer written all over it.
“Come on, Cali.” He turned to me. “You’re perfectly safe. Trust me?”
For a heartbeat, I did nothing but stare at him. “What the hell.” I gave a shrug. “What do I have to lose?”

“Hey, Young.” Truth lifted me into the high seat. His hands groping at my ass as he did so. I could have gotten in by myself. But I couldn’t deny I liked the feel of his hands on me.
“Hey, Truth.” The young man at the wheel turned with a knowing grin. “Hey….?”
“Cali.” Truth answered for me. His arm sliding around my shoulders to pull me against his side. “Cali is with me.”
I didn’t know why, but it sounded like a threat.
