At least until Monday.

Chapter Six

Cali

He was sweet, in a darkly dangerous way. At least he was sweet to me. Sweet and attentive. But there was another side of him, I was sure of it. A darker side that I caught glimpses of when he spoke to his friends.

Truth was a very confusing man.

Multifaceted, I was betting you could know him for years and not really know him at all. Not that I could ever scratch the surface. I only had until Monday. Not enough time to learn all his secrets. And I was betting there were a lot of them.

“You daydreaming about me beautiful?” His fingers brushed over my arm, a feather-light touch that instantly caused goosebumps to erupt. Blinking I turned my face up to him. A smile playing over my lips. “Sorry I zoned out there for a minute didn’t I?” I hadn’t heard a thing he had been saying for the last few minutes. Not one single word.

“And missed all my best chat up lines.” He joked easily, and I laughed. His fingers made another pass up my arm, and I had to force myself to concentrate on his words and not his fingers.

“Were they good chat up lines?” I tilted the frosty bottle to my lips as I stared up at him.

“My best.”

I couldn’t help it, I grinned at him. He was such a goofball. And the chemistry between us couldn’t be denied. Hell, I wasn’t sure I wanted to deny it.

What was the harm after all?

“Then I’m sorry I missed them by daydreaming.”

“You haven’t told me what you were daydreaming over yet Cali?” His eyebrows quirked upwards towards his hairline. “Me?” He didn’t let me finish, the fingers he had been using to stroke up and down my arm, moved to my cheek. I couldn’t help it; I held my breath. “It was me, wasn’t it?” He gave a dark, dirty chuckle , one that hit me straight between the thighs. It made me shift uncomfortably. Truth grinned, my squirming hadn’t gone unnoticed. “You don’t have to daydream about me beautiful. I’m right here.”

“I know.”

For a second, he just stared down at me, the smile growing with every passing moment. He knew he had me. I could see it in his face. In that knowing smile of his. “Yeah, you do.” The fingers that had been playing across my cheek moved lower, he gripped my chin between his fingers and thumb and my lips parted in a sigh as his mouth captured mine. The tip of his tongue tracing my bottom lip. Testing the waters to see what I would do before he went any further.

This was utter madness.

My arm curled around his neck, my own hand pulling his face more firmly down to mine.

I had come here to hook up with a biker. A biker who didn’t show up or didn’t exist. It didn’t really matter now. I had one right in front of me. One that I wanted to kiss.

Desperately.

I wasn’t sure how far I should take it, but I did want to kiss him, and I wanted him to know that.

Truth tasted like the beer he had been drinking, and even that wasn’t as off-putting as it should have been.

There was just something about him. Something that drew me in.

His tongue swept into my mouth, and I sighed again. My tongue tangling with his.

Any softness of his earlier kisses was totally forgotten as he deepened the kiss even further.

And boy did he know how to kiss.

“You wanna get out of here?” He tore his mouth from mine but didn’t let go of my face. It was almost like he wanted to keep me still just in case he wanted to devour me again. And that’s exactly what his kisses were like. Being devoured. In the most erotic way possible.

Did I want to get out of here with him? We both knew what that meant.

Hell yes, I did.,

The question was should I? And the answer was a resounding no. I was asking for trouble. I was….
