"Do not move yet," he said. He held out his arm. "I want to give you more nanites. Are you satisfied with that? To repair your systems?"

She smiled back at him and held out one arm. "My systems appreciate your systems."

"Good," he said, and a tube came out of his gauntlet and connected to Bianca. Again, the nanites began to move through. This time he gave her double the required healing dosage.

"How long does that take to do what it does?" Veta asked.

"A few hours," Harbin replied.

She glanced at Wrathin. "Well, maybe we should go see if we can find out who the red dot is on Sol-2."

He shrugged. "We will explore."

"I will stay here," Harbin said.

They went back to the console, and Wrathin downloaded some data from the transmission before climbing up the ship's interior to get to the rear hatch.

"Well, this is fun," Veta muttered as Wrathin pushed her out of the hole."

"Let's hope there are more transports here," he said.

Harbin turned back to Bianca. "You should rest," he said. "Close your eyes and get some sleep. I will," he looked around the battered transport. "I will see what I can do here."

He had to find something useful to do. He wasn't leaving her side.

But he had to do something so that he did not feel so helpless and useless.

"Okay," she said. "But first, I wanted to tell you something."

"What is that?"

She opened her eyes and met his. "I commit."

"To what?" he asked.

"I commit to you," she said.

He blinked.

And grinned.

He didn't think he'd ever been happier.
