They group was paired off standing near the back of the crowd as the band warmed up on stage. Abigail had informed her, now that she wasn’t hiding from the government she could find another job on base.

As tempting as it was, she was happy working for Abigail and Kinsley. She finally had a job she loved. A place she loved. And the man she loved. What more could she want?

She glanced over at Heath, who’d been quiet most of the day. Ever since they explained to everyone what had happened. It was like he was physically there but mentally he was miles away. She didn’t like it one bit. It was time to figure out what was on his mind.

“Just spit it out.” Heath looked over at her confused. “You look like you’re about to break up with me or something just as bad. So, whatever you have to say just spit it out.”

“Are you going to go back to New York?” He blurted out.

Out of all the questions for him to ask, she didn’t expect it, even though she should. “Only if they need me to for the investigation, but otherwise, no.” Olivia wrapped her arms around Heath’s waist. Silly man. “Do you think I could leave you, after I told you I loved you?”

Heath wrapped his arms around her, pulling her tightly against his chest, but lose enough he didn’t hurt her sore ribs. Sweet man. “The thought may have crossed my mind. You had a life back in New York.”

Olivia shut him up with a kiss. “I wasn’t living in New York. I had a job I liked, but I didn’t like New York. There was always traffic and too many people. Give me a small town any day. I wouldn’t give this life up with you for anything.”

“Good.” Heath reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box. It looked larger than a ring box, but it still made her heart skip a beat. Heath took a deep breath and asked, “Olivia, will you and your daughter move in with me?” Heath opened the box to reveal a silver key.

“Yes,” she all but shouted, launching into his arms. Olivia closed her eyes, as tears ran down her face. Who knew fleeing from her ex and finding shelter in this small town, could be the best thing that could ever happen to her. “I love you, Heath.”

“I love you, too. You and Ivy more than anything else in the world. If you’d ask, I’d give up my military career for you.”

Ivy stopped his words with a kiss. “I would never ask that of you. I love you just as you are. No matter what job you have. I’ll always be waiting for you.”

“And I love you just as you are. I don’t care what name you go by.” Heath sealed his words with a kiss.

“Yours. That’s the only name that matters.”

Heath kissed her again. Several of the women whooped and hollered next to them but Olivia wasn’t listening. All she focused on was Heath.

Heath pulled away first. “What do you say we get out of here and skip the concert?” He suggested, wagging his eyebrows, making his meaning clear.

She shouldn’t.

But yet, she did.
