“Ezra, faster.”
She wraps her legs around me, pulling me deeper in. A loud groan erupts from my throat. I lose all restraint and drive into her, letting our tension build with each hard stroke.
Her moans grow louder as they echo through my ears. It’s all so consuming. She consumes me. I can feel her walls pulsing around me, squeezing me tighter with each thrust, pulling her closer to the edge.
Her breaths turn ragged and uneven; her head drops back and her hair brushes against the counter.
She bites her lip and moans my name.
And it’s enough to throw me over the edge. Every nerve in my body screams to be released. I grip her hips harder as I lean down and press my lips against her. The heat between us burns hotter until we both shatter against each other.
My forehead is pressed against her neck as we both catch our breaths.
“Why do we always end up having sex everywhere but the bedroom?” she asks, breaking the silence that hums through the aftermath.
I lift my body off of her, gazing down at her as she props herself up on her elbows.
“I don’t know where else to do it because I don’t want to do it anywhere you two have done it.”
“Oh,” she says, trailing her eyes away from me.
It’s been getting harder living here knowing that she shared this place with someone else. I knew it before I moved in, but it’s getting harder with each day our relationship grows. I want our own space. Our own memories. It’s not the same when you’re tiptoeing around a house she shared with someone else.
“I wouldn’t let us do it in a place I’ve done it before.”
My stomach stops twitching knowing they at least didn’t do it here on the counter. I took my chances on this one because I missed her so much.
“Do you think you’ll move out of here?” I ask. I don’t want to rush her or push her into something if she’s not ready, but with how hard it’s getting for me, I want to know where her head is at.
“Oh, of course. It’s just been hard with everything that is going on.”
“I understand,” I say, wrapping her in a hug, her warm bare chest hitting mine. I plant a kiss on her head. “It would be nice for us to have our own space with our own memories.”
Her eyes lift to mine and there’s so much light in them when she looks at me.
CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX
VIOLET
“Girl, you’re glowing,”Ashley says, pulling me into a hug. “Where have you been?”
I let out an exhale. “A lot has happened.”
It’s been so long since I’ve done a Pilates class with Ashley. I hate pushing my exercise aside, but with everything happening, Pilates is always the easiest to take off my to do list.
She texted me the other day asking me to get coffee and catch up. Since I went missing from her classes, I bet she thinks I was drowning in depression.
“I was getting worried there for a minute, but now seeing you, I think there is more you need to tell me than I thought.”
The heat on my face rises. I can’t help but smile as I think back to everything good that has happened.
“And what is this place? And why does it say Violet’s Bakery?” she asks, glancing around the bakery.
When she texted me wanting to meet up, I sent her this address and told her to meet me here. With everything that happened, I want to show her what I’ve been doing because I know she will be happy for me.
“This is mine,” I say, opening my arms wide.
Her eyes grow wide, and her mouth parts. “No way.” She does a complete one eighty looking around. “This is so cute. When did this happen?”
