“I’m not actually sure. Inigo’s my ex, and we’ve mostly avoided one another when we both ended up on Iero. Recently, he’s been trying to be my friend or something, and it’s weird.”
Dragon hums. “An ex, huh? Was he the one who ended it? Maybe he’s realizing the mistake he made. Only an idiot would give up a woman like you.”
A full-body shiver rushes through me as I flush. “Uh…thanks?”
Goat snickers. “Oh, Enya. I’m not sure either of us has been thanked for hitting on a woman before.”
Oh.
“You’re hitting on me?” Disbelief colors my tone.
Why would they be hitting on me?
“We have been for months,” Dragon assures me. “Clearly, you didn’t notice.”
I don’t even know what to say to that.
“Enya!” Morrigan calls out to me, and I take the distraction to do what I do best—run.
“I better go see what she wants. I’ll see you later.”
Dragon’s chuckle and murmured promise follow me as I hurry away. “Yes, you will, little bird.”
