She gasped, holding out her hands and Gabriel’s soul rushed toward her. His soul entered her chest, where souls were kept safe during reaper transport. “Blood witch coven?”
I stared into the fear swirling in her eyes. “Please, get to Heaven immediately.”
She nodded before taking her leave in a whirl of smoke.
“No! Stop her!” Mystia’s desperate cries fell on uncaring ears as the wind ceased and the shaking of the realms stabilized.
“It’s too late, Mystia.” The guys broke the circle and I descended back to the ground. “And now, I’ll make sure the blood witch coven can never be resurrected.”
“What do you mean?” Aziel asked.
“Obliteration should make resurrection impossible, but with blood magic, there is no impossible. I obliterated Mystia, but since she had already set Gabriel’s sacrifice to bring back the coven in motion, his death brought back her consciousness along with the rest of the witches in her coven.” I let my fangs down and pierced my wrist, deeper than usual and dug my finger into the wound to push out more blood onto the ground. Pulling my finger out, the wound closed, and I held my hands out to my blood, mumbling an old incantation I used to think was lore, but when mixed with blood magic and the symbol of banishment…
My blood floated into the air in small droplets before whirring into the symbol and catching fire. The fire was steady, outlining the symbol.
“A banishment symbol,” Titan muttered.
“What for?” Kai asked.
“To banish the blood witches from the realms?”
Not quite. I continued the incantation, moving my hands in the direction of the symbol. I’m destroying their souls and true blood magic all together.
“She’s destroying them and blood magic,” Blaise told them as I centered my intent on the symbol. The whirring of my blood sped so fast the motion became audible and the heat from the fire bathed my face in warmth.
The crackle of the spell broke the air as it combusted, blowing us all back into the walls. My rib cracking took my breath for a quick second before my healing snapped the bone back together.
The guys groaned, and I held my hands out toward their crumbled bodies, speeding their healing process along. Collective sighs rang out, and I got to my feet to dust off my pants that were covered in dirt and blood. “It’s done.”
Blaise scooped me up in a hug, inhaling deep as his face buried in my neck. “You’re bloody amazing.”
I nuzzled my face into his neck and let out a sigh of relief. “Hopefully, everything can get a little less fucking crazy now.”
“What did you do exactly?” Thaddeus pulled me from Blaise and into his arms. His green eyes staring deeply into mine. “I’ve never seen anything like it. Your power is unmatched.”
“I obliterated the witches' souls, because Gabriel’s death brought them back.” I glanced over at his body lying still on the floor before turning back to Thaddeus. “Then I obliterated blood magic. It can’t be used anymore.”
“You obliterated a form of magic?” Kai asked, lacing his fingers through mine and pulling me toward him. “How is that possible?”
“Blood magic was chaotic with no limitations. I used the logic of blood magic and mixed it with the banishment symbol. The incantation I used was one I used to dream about and it was once a poem demons used to chant when I was newly created. It was lore to destroy anything the supernatural desired, but now I know I was meant to learn it for this moment.” I tiptoed and kissed his cheek. “The incantation wouldn't have worked without the chaos of blood magic.”
“Can you still use blood magic?” Aziel asked, wrapping his hand around my wrist and gently tugging me from Kai. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him close.
“Not anymore. Blood magic literally doesn’t exist anymore.” I kissed his neck, as a heaviness settled in my bones. I had access to an unlimited source of power, but it was still fucking exhausting using that much of it.
“I’ll take Gabriel’s body and your family to Heaven,” Titan said, clearing his throat as Aziel pulled away from me. “That way you can rest.”
“Thank you.” I pulled Titan into a hug, and his arms went around my waist, pulling me snug against him. “Make sure they’re okay. I’ll be up to visit them as soon as I have rested. Will you explain everything to them?”
“Yes. I’ll do anything I can to help, my Queen,” Titan teased as he slid his arms off me and held my hand to his lips to kiss the back of it.
Rolling my eyes, I huffed out a chuckle. “Thanks, Titan. I mean it...for everything.”
He winked, turning around and teleporting out with my still unconscious family and Gabriel’s body.
“My Queen,” Blaise mocked with an exaggerated huff.
“Get used to it,” Aziel muttered. “He’ll always flirt with her.”
“I see what caused the animosity, mate,” Kai told him.
I turned back to the guys. “Can we please go home?”
Thaddeus nodded, stepping away from the three jealous men, and wrapping his arm around my shoulders. “Of course, love. You’ve had a hell of a day.”
“More like a hell of a few months.”
