Tau shot a bird at him. “I showedher.”
“You fucking asshole!” Xisnarled. “I was going to show her!”
“You can show me later,”Ultima told him.
“Dr. Emily said that youwere not to have sex.”
“She said we couldn’t bewild. She didn’t say no.”
“She said you should becareful. Having sex more than once a day is notcareful.”
Ultima sighed. Having sex withoutpenetration wasn’t nearly as much fun if it came to that, but shecould see he wasn’t going to agree if she pointed thatout.
“Ok,” she agreed. “Once aday.”
“Every three days,” hesaid implacably.
Ultima frowned. “Every otherday?”
He considered it. “Xi, you arenext—day after tomorrow.”
“Well fuck!” Quan growledand stalked off.
Ultima smiled and waved at Xi. Hesmiled back at her and winked before he followed Quan to work onthe house.
Ultima nuzzled her face against Tau.“I love you.”
He tightened his arms around her. “Iadore you.”
