“It was wonderful, my love,” she said.
When she released him, Elliot took his turn. But he didn’t just hug Peter—he bent him back slightly and kissed him so passionately that Peter staggered a little when he was set on his feet.
“Good Lord,” he said with a laugh. “You are going to make this the truly greatest night of my life if you continue that, Elliot.”
“That’s my intention,” Elliot said with a saucy wink at Peter before he cupped Merritt’s arse and gave it a squeeze. “Watching your success makes me hungry for you both.”
“And that kind of support is exactly why you are so loved,” Peter said with a smile. “But before we can retire to the Donville Masquerade and our very much anticipated celebrations there…I must at least make an appearance at the cast party with our illustrious patrons, the Marquess and Marchioness of Egerton. So come along and be a good boy while you wait.”
Peter slung an arm around Elliot’s shoulders and the two men laughed as they headed down the hallway together with Merritt at their heels. She loved watching them together, their bond so strong. Their passion for each other as powerful as it was for her. Something they all proved on a regular basis.
In truth, she had never been so happy as she had been the past six months. Not just because she was having amazing, toe-curling, life-altering sex with the two most talented lovers in all the world. But because the love the three shared was only growing with each day.
Tears flooded her eyes as she thought of it. Thought of how she had lost one man and nearly lost the other…but in the end, they had all ended up so very happy.
How in the end, she was well and truly their marchioness. And she always would be.
