He reaches into his pocket and reveals the most stunning ring I’ve ever seen.

“Will you drink tea with me every night for the rest of our lives and marry me?”

“Oh my God, are you kiddin’ me?” Tears well in my eyes at his beautiful words. “Yes, of course!”

When he slides the ring on my finger, my eyes widen at the size of the diamond.

“This is gorgeous!” I stare at it in shock.

He stands, smiling wide. “Just like you.”

“This was so incredibly sweet.”

Tipping my chin, our gazes lock on each other, both rimmed with tears. “I love you and our kids so much.”

I bring his mouth down on mine and kiss the hell out of him.

“If I wasn’t already pregnant, I’d beg you to knock me up right now.”

“Fuck, don’t tempt me to figure out a way to make that happen.” He nibbles on my bottom lip. “But we’re gonna be late, so that’ll have to wait until later.”

“They did? I absolutely love it. Just thinkin’ how it might not fit me in a few months.”

Considering this is my third pregnancy, and I’m already bigger than I was with my previous ones, my fingers and feet are going to swell up quicker than usual.

“You can add it to your chain with your locket.”

“That’s a good idea.” I smile at the thought of them being close together.

He reaches over and grabs my hand before pressing his lips to my knuckles.

As soon as we reach the restaurant, I’m eager to get inside and eat. With the kids home and adjusting to a new school schedule for both Sam and my online classes, we haven’t had many date nights or any time alone at all. So when Colton told me he got a sitter for the night, I immediately got on board.

“This place looks so fancy,” I say as we walk in together.

“They have the best steak options.”

I smile at him picking this restaurant after I told him I was craving steak. But when we walk in, he goes past the hostess and toward the back.

“What’re you doin’?” I whisper.

“Trust me, baby.”

“I do, but?—”
