“Right. The rings. Got it.”
Koios’s hand shook as he took the golden circle he’d created for Ben and slid it onto his finger. Ben turned his hand so he could stare down at it. His big ole bear teared up.
“Don’t cry. If you cry, everybody’s crying.”
Ben looked up as a single tear slid down his cheek.
He sniffed as he reached for the other ring in Koios’s hand. He slid it onto Koios’s finger. “I love you, Koios. You’re my one and only plan.”
Koios sniffed a little and leaned in.
“You may kiss the groom,” King Silenus boomed over the cheers of the crowd.
It was pretty good timing, considering Koios had his tongue in Ben’s mouth. He chased away the tears and swore to the goddess he’d do everything in his power to make Ben happy for as long as they both shall live.
And considering Koios would apparently have an extraordinarily long life—considering his ancestry and the fact that he’d convinced his sweet bear to marry him in the fae realm— they would be living happily ever after for a very, very long time.
