When I reach Alexander, I feel my heart pounding in my chest.

We haven’t discussed how we’ll act around his team.

Up until now, we’ve only shared glances and small touches around them, keeping the heavier touching and kissing to moments in privacy.

All I know is that right now, I want to give my man a proper kiss and congratulate him on a great game.

When I stop right in front of him, I can tell he’s looking at me, waiting to see how I want to handle this.

When I wrap my arms around his back and press our bodies together, he gives me the most stunning smile before leaning down to kiss me, sending my emotions into overdrive.

When we break apart, I smile up at him, feeling content and happy in his arms.

“Congratulations on your game, captain.”

He kisses me once more, keeping our faces close together.

“Thank you, baby. You okay with the guys knowing?” His concern is touching, and he always makes sure I’m okay.

Being with him feels too good to hide from anyone. We’ve already put our attraction aside for a while; now, I’m all in with him.

“Yeah, I think most of them are onto us either way,” I tell him, knowing they’ve been watching us even before we got together.

“They better be.” Alexander captures my lips again, biting gently on my bottom lip.

“I like it when you get all possessive of me,” I whisper against his lips.

He takes a deep breath, pulling me closer.

“Oh, you have no idea just how possessive I feel about you, Sarah. I want to drag you off to a dark corner right now, fuck you raw, maybe even let the guys hear you scream my name.”

I swallow at his words.

I’ve never considered public sex before, but with Alexander, all kinds of sex seem like a good idea.

Still, it would be embarrassing to show up at work, so the public sex will have to wait.

“Behave, captain. You need to socialize with your team, and I’ll let you do whatever you want when we get home later.”

He seems to like the idea of that.

We spend the evening at the bar, talking, laughing, and having a great time.

Even some of the newer guys joined in, which made me ecstatic.

I spend the night by Alexander’s side, as he effortlessly strikes up conversations with many guys from the team. He may not realize it himself, but he’s the perfect leader.

For him, this is just part of his job or duty as captain, but it also feels completely natural.

He makes sure everyone has a good time, enjoys themselves, and praises the guys for their work on the ice.

He also makes me feel seen and cherished, always having a hand at my back, my hand in his, or giving me a squeeze on my side to let me know he appreciates having me nearby.

The admiration the other players have for him is blinding, but again, I’m sure he doesn’t even see it himself. Humble, driven, and passionate about his team.

I excuse myself from his side, mingling with Samantha, Noah, and Aaron, who’s taken a seat in one of the lounge areas.

“So, he finally managed to snatch you up?” Noah asks me, a knowing smile on his face.
