She meets me halfway, every damn time.
I start circling her clit, meeting her every thrust, feeling myself getting closer to the edge.
Just as Sarah reaches her orgasm, I feel myself following right behind her, and we cling together as we ride out our pleasure.
When our breathing calms, she gives me a small smile, which makes me curious.
“What?” I ask her, my hands travelling up and down her back.
“You just bring out so many sides of me, I like it a lot.”
She’s glowing, and her confession takes my breath away.
I know she’s had her doubts about us, but each day, I get a glimpse into a new side to her, making me fall even harder for her.
“You bring out a lot of new sides of me as well, baby,” I give her a soft kiss, making her sigh.
“I’m in so much trouble with you, McGregor,” she tells me, making me wink at her.
“I’m right there with you, Parker.”

“I really think you should consider it,” Sarah tells me.
We’re nearing the end of our dinner, and we’ve been discussing what I can do to turn the team and our spirits around.
I feel the responsibility heavy on my shoulders, knowing we’re not in balance right now.
She’s still set on her suggestion that I should invite the guys over to my place for a night of board games in a laid-back atmosphere.
She’s made an excellent case for every reason I don’t want to do this.
I told her we’re professional hockey players who don’t have time for that kind of thing.
At that, she just scoffed at me and even cited studies in sports psychology showing that team players who met outside their practices and games performed stronger as a team when they got to know each other in a different environment.
When I argued that our schedule is too hectic, she pulled up the team calendar and suggested next Thursday evening, showing me that after our midday game, the whole team has the night off.
I even tried to tell her I don’t want people in my personal space, which made her roll her eyes and volunteer to clean up any mess the guys left.
The more I think about it, the more I think she makes a good case.
Maybe this is what the team needs.
To not only see me, but also each other in a more laid-back environment.
Especially for the newer guys on the team, some of whom haven’t yet found their place, even though I’ve tried to include them and help them settle in, they probably also don’t like the overbearing captain, as Sarah told me.
“I’ll do it, on one condition,” I tell her, seeing her face light up.
“Name it, captain.”
Her excitement is contagious.
“That you’re there with me,” I say, and she immediately narrows her eyes at me.
“I’m not a player, Alexander, it would be weird,” she says just as the waiter delivers our dessert.
