‘You won.’ I choked out a laugh.

His chest rose and fell in heavy pants—still ragged from how hard he’d played.

He pressed our foreheads together and rasped, ’Every day I spend with you, I win.’

A low retching sound came from behind us. ‘I think I’m gonna vomit.’ We both glanced back in time to see George clasp a hand over Rosie’s mouth, stifling her noises.

She struggled against his grip, resorting to elbowing him in the ribs. Other than letting out a soft grunt, he didn’t relinquish his hold.

‘Never mind her. Carry on.’ He flashed a grin to his brother.

I didn’t have time to retort. Oliver gripped my chin, turned me to face him again, and fused our mouths together. I could feel his whole body vibrate as he poured every emotion into the kiss. All his fears and anxiety about the match, his elation over winning… but most of all hislove.

I pulled away, barely able to catch my breath from the kind of kiss you only see in movies.

‘If I’d known these were the benefits to watching football, I would’ve started paying attention a lot sooner,’ I said.

Oliver grinned, tagging me around the waist and hauling me against his chest so my feet barely touched the ground. He shook his head at me.

‘What am I gonna do with you, Pooh?’ He brushed his lips softly against mine.

Smiling against his mouth, ‘Love me.’

He moved his head back enough to see my face and threaded his fingers into my hair.

‘Always.’ He declared.
