Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out the small box he’d been carrying around for the past month, waiting for the perfect moment. He couldn’t think of a more perfect moment than right then.
“Wanna help me?” he asked Will. Will nodded eagerly and joined Tinker as he sank to one knee in front of Abby.
He opened the box, revealing a circle-cut ruby set in a simple platinum band. “Abigail Day, will you marry me?”
Tears fell as she nodded. Will jumped up and knocked the box from Tinker’s hand, sending the ring flying. Everyone except Senior searched on their hands and knees before Olivia found the ring next to the leg of a chair.
“You sure you’re ready for all this chaos?” Abby asked as he slid the ring on her finger.
He’d never been more sure of anything in his life.
“Absolutely.”
