JD pulses in my hand. “What?”
I reach over and grab the remote and press the button that turns on the overhead waterfall into the large oval bathtub.
“Fuck, yeah!” he exclaims and throws me over his shoulder as he jumps out of bed.
Chapter 24
Thank goodness for weekends, I think as I blink my eyes against the bright sunlight filtering in through the French doors and the window. I woke up a while ago but haven’t moved because I have Aurora wrapped in my arms. She’s draped over me, her head on my chest, one arm and leg flung over my body. Her little puffs of breath tickle the hairs on my chest, and every once in a while, her nose twitches. So fucking cute. Hands down, this morning is the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. I had the most incredible night with the girl I love. And to make things even better, I got to fall asleep next to her and wake up to her gorgeous, slumbering face. Since it’s Saturday, I’m going to try and convince her to stay in bed with me for the rest of the day. I’ll need to wake her up soon, however, because I have to go to the bathroom.
Raking my fingers up and down her hip, I feel her skin turn to gooseflesh. She murmurs something unintelligible in her sleep. I slide my hand around and cup her breast, scratching her nipple lightly with my fingernail.
“Jackson.” She huskily sighs my name and my morning wood, which hadn’t gone down since I woke up, hardens even more.
I feel her eyelashes flutter a few times against my skin, and then she’s slithering her body fully on top of me, eyes at half-mast with sleepiness.
“Good morning, sunshine.”
Her hair is a wild, sexed-up mess and I smirk knowing I’m the cause of her disheveled look.
“A very good morning. If I wasn’t so sore right now, I’d insist on you taking me again in the shower.” She kisses the hollow of my neck and I swear I think she purrs.
After our very handsy bath last night, I kept my promise, draping her over the end of the bed and fucking her from behind. We eventually stumbled into the stand-up shower, and I took her up against the shower wall. It was a great night.
Pushing her mass of hair away from her face so I can see her better, I remind her, “There are other things I can do to help with the soreness.”
A goofy smile splits her face. “Yay! More orgasms.”
Laughing, I scoot her up so I can kiss her good morning. “I think we should stay in bed all day,” I suggest.
“Mmm, sounds perfect. But I’m hungry, so we need to go downstairs eventually and scrounge up some food.”
“Don’t you have servants for that?”
She pulls my chest hair and I yelp. That leads to a tickle attack on my part until she’s squealing for mercy. We wrestle on the bed for a few minutes and collapse back, breathless and panting. I roll her over on top me again.
“I love you,” she says, blue eyes as bright as the morning sky.
How in the hell did I get so lucky? I’ve had a crush on Aurora for years, but Cam made sure no one could get too close to her. So, I waited and pined and dreamed. And now? Now, she’s my girlfriendandshe says that she loves me. Not to mention the sex is out of this world. Yep. I’m definitely one lucky bastard.
I wrap my arms around her in a tight embrace. “I love you, too, baby.”
“I feel like I should be worried or scared about how fast things seem to be moving between us, but I’m not.”
“I know what you mean. This feels natural, like it was meant to be.Wewere meant to be.”
“I have to agree,” she says, giving me one more peck before climbing off me. “Let me put on some clothes and go rustle us up some food. I’ll bring it back up here and we can eat in bed or out on the balcony.”
My eyes are roving over her naked body as she stands at the side of the bed. She’s fucking phenomenal.
“Any requests?” she asks, grabbing a few items of clothing from her dresser.
“I’ll eat anything,” I answer, and she snorts at the double meaning.
“When I get back, I’ll take care of that.” She points to the tented sheet covering my lower half.
“That’s on the breakfast menu?”
“Only for very special guests.” She winks and walks into the bathroom, closing the door. I hear the water turn on.
