“Oh,” I replied, reading between the lines. She was too good for it, unlike me, who wouldn’t survive without the club.
“Don’t,” he reprimanded. “Don’t let one sour thought cross your mind, you got it?” I nodded and tried to keep my facial expressions even as my stomach continued to tie in knots.
“I just don’t like her. She was too friendly with you.”
“We’re friends, you know?”
“You’re mine,” I shouted, making him jump back for a second, then the most delicious smile crossed his face.
“Say it again,” he said in a husky voice, his chest heaving.
“You’re fucking mine,” I stated as I grabbed his shirt and pulled him down to my lips. His forearms landed on the floor and he encased my face with his strong hands. His thumbs ran circular motions around my cheeks as he kissed me back, with the same force I was kissing him.
One of his hands ran down my side and connected with the opening of my slit where he guided my dress up a little farther. I waited breathlessly for his next move, for him to figure out my little surprise.
His hand kept moving forward and once it hit my hip, he pulled away from me and looked down into my eyes, confused.
“Are you wearing any underpants?”
With a smirk, I shook my head no.
His jaw clenched, his face hardening. I waited nervously for his reply.
“When were you going to tell me this?”
“I wasn’t,” I replied as I moved my hips into his, eliciting a groan from him.
“You’ve been very naughty, little one, keeping such a secret from me.”
“Isn’t naughty good?”
“Do you have a response for everything?”
“Almost always,” I said with a grin.
He bowed his head and shook it as he tried to regain himself.
The limo came to a stop and Jett looked up to see out the window. He got up off me and pulled me up onto the seat.
He leaned into my ear as the car door opened and said, “Your time is up, little one. Meet me in the Bourbon Room in five minutes. Stand in the middle, next to the table, wear one of your business shirts, and make sure your hair is pulled back into a ponytail. I plan on riding the fuck out of you tonight while I grip that beautiful mane of yours.” He didn’t give me a chance to reply because he was out of the door in no time.
Holy. Fucking. Hell.
Chapter Fourteen
“Without Me”
JETT
I needed to calm my racing heart before I went into the Bourbon Room since it was going about a mile a minute right now. The night was a success, not just for business reasons, but also where Goldie was concerned. I was moving forward with the decision to claim her, and I really felt we’d made a connection, like we’d understood each other.
I liked her being jealous about Keylee, it made me feel needed, something that I’ve been yearning for. Natasha did a number on me and now that Goldie, this strong and attractive woman, had claimed me as hers, I’d never felt so invigorated before. It seemed almost too easy with Goldie, but I wasn’t going to think about that too much. She was what I wanted in my life, she was the missing factor I’d needed, and even though I’d erred on the side of caution, I was going to enjoy what I was willing to give her right now.
Knowing she’d been waiting for me, I took off my jacket and tie and unbuttoned my shirt but kept it on as I rolled up my sleeves and headed to the Bourbon Room; I had some playing to do.
When I entered the room, I was pleased with the purple lighting that lit up the sides of the walls and the lonely light that gracefully shone down upon Goldie, who was standing next to the table in her Jett Girl attire, with her hair pulled back. She was impeccable to look at. Beauty in its purest form stared right back at me.
Her eyes took in my entire body, from the tips of my toes to the top of my head. Heat blazed in her eyes as I walked closer, and I could not be happier with her reaction. She was giving me everything I needed, the confidence to approach her, and the attraction to pursue such a fine specimen.
