“Well, I do. It’s pretty. Did you rent it, or what?” She sighs. “Listen, I really need to get out of this dress and… Please stop stretching everything out. I love you, but this habit of yours is so—”
“It’s our new home.”
Silence. Pure silence.
Not a single word, not a single noise—just our breathing.
“Are you joking?”
I shake my head. “I bought it. For our family.”
Her lips open before she walks further into the house, carrying her dress like a princess would.
“You seriously bought this? For us?” She turns around, looking up into my eyes again.
The blue in her eyes… It sparkles just like the waves outside, waiting for us just a few meters away. Before I can say or do anything, she throws herself at me, probably forgetting about the dress.
Holy fuck. Next time, I’m seriously downsizing the dress again, because she nearly sends me crashing down on the floor.
“Yes, my love… This is our new home. Away from all the… Things that happened.” My voice drops lower by theend, not wanting the sad emotions to take over our happiness that we deserve.
Just a few minutes after, we’ve looked at almost all rooms—the living room in which we’ve started the tour, the kitchen, the bathroom, Mary’s room, our bedroom… And well, another free room.
“What are we using this room for?” She looks up at me, confused. “Did you plan on building a home gym?” Her teasing tone makes me grin.
“I was more thinking of, well, someone else staying here.”
“Like, who?”
Is she stupid? Fuck, I love my wife, but she seriously can’tnottake the hint?
“You’ll see what I mean in a while, I’ll make sure of that,” I grin, but then lead her away from the room. I want us to focus on the bedroom for tonight.
For… Obvious reasons. We need to fill one more room, after all.
Funny, right? No? No… Fine.
“Come here, pretty, let me take that dress off for you,” I whisper the second we’re back in our bedroom.
She nods immediately, followed by a relieved sigh the second I start unzipping the ungodly huge dress. Fuck, theamount of fabric. You could probably make three more dresses out of that.
“Finally,” she grunts. I smile at the thought of relieving her. In more than just one way, you understand.
When the zipper is completely down, I brush the fabric down her shoulders, helping her escape the horror of a dress.
For looks, it’s wonderful. For comfort? Definitely not.
My fingers slowly trace over the curves of her body, admiring every little inch of her. “You’re so beautiful, do you know that?” I whisper into her ear as I touch her.
She leans into me, my lips resting just a few inches away from her neck.
“Remind me more often,” she replies, “I might forget it if you won’t.”
Of course, I take her words seriously. And if that’s what she needs, fuck, I’m gonna remind her every single day of the week of how beautiful this woman in front of me is.
Both physically and psychically.
My eyes wander lower, noticing the soft pink, almost white fabric hugging her skin.
