“Our baby is okay?”
She nodded. “I want you forever, too. I always did.” She framed my face. “You, this, it’s my every dream come true. I love you.” She kissed me and dropped her forehead against mine. “Sorry, I kinda stole your thunder there. Ask me again.”
“You kinda did, but I’m too fucking happy to care. Thea, will you marry me?”
“Dominic,” she sniffled, her beaming smile taking my breath away, “yes, I will.”
I kissed her too long and too hard for public eyes, but it didn’t matter.
I was a lucky bastard to get not only one, but two, second chances.
Thea’s head fell into my chest as my gaze drifted out the window. The rain had cleared up, and a few stars poked through the clouds, twinkling as if someone was winking at me from heaven.
I rested my chin on top of Thea’s head and winked back.
