The way he said it made her a little nervous. “Okay. What is it?”

“You remember when we bought Hampton Homes…I knew it was good buy, but I didn’t realize how good…I checked my bank balance the other day.” He gave a small shrug. “It’s appears I’m officially a billionaire.”

She shut her eyes and groaned. “Oh, fuck! That means I’m stuck with you.”

He grinned. “For the long haul, Roman.” He walked around the table and wrapped his arms around her. “And because I’m richer, I decided to spoil myself and upgrade to a bigger house. It’s got a garden and everything.”

“You don’t need a garden.”

“Yeah, but you come with baggage…A catanda dog.”

She knew what he was trying to say, but every now and then she liked to hear him actually say it. “Is that your way of asking me to move in with you?”

“I wasn’t asking,” he replied with a wide smile.

See, this was the problem with Tyler’s smile. Each time she saw it, every body part turned to goo. Knees became weak. Cheeks turned red with bashfulness. Heart just started shooting chocolate bubbles. It was disgusting.

He held her tighter and lowered his lips to her neck. “I’m tired of having those mornings where I have to wake up without you,” he whispered against her skin.

He kissed her and she melted, absorbing everything his mouth told her, with his words, with his kiss.

“When you put it like that,” she said, looping her arms around his neck, “how can I say no? You’re such a softy, Mister Evans.”

He gripped her hips and pressed them against the hardness that had already grown beneath his pants. “Not all of me.”

His mouth covered hers and she knew that their trip to his dad was going to be delayed…again. She didn’t mind, though. She was still reeling with excitement and she wanted to make this moment last as long as possible. Marriage and kids were still in theverydistant future, but this was something she was ready for. She was ready to take the next step forward, make a home with Tyler Evans and live happily ever after in sweet, eternal smudginess.

Ugh! Barf!
