He tugged her forward and nipped at her bottom lip. “I see you have no plans to stop being a scoundrel yourself.”
“It would be so boring if we both turned respectable.”
He leaned back and gave her a searching look. “I sense something has happened.”
“I sold your nude photograph,” she admitted, “for twice the profit mine sold for, if you can believe it.”
Tommy snorted. “Good money, then?”
“The proprietor was quite clear he would be thrilled to receive more.” She played with his tie before meeting his eyes. “What do you think? Could you still court a socialite photographer with a scandalous secret?”
A slow smile spread across his cheeks. “As long as I’m in the photographs with you.”
“Be careful what you wish for.”
“I have more wishes? I thought I used them all up.”
“That’s the thing about scoundrels,” she said, her heart close to bursting with love. “We make our own rules.”
