Fire and electricity shot through Cloris in heat wave after heat wave. Seeing Hades touch Persephone, and her touch him back. She didn’t know which enraged or turned her on more. The two people she loved more dearly than anyone else in the world and she could have them both right here right now.
Persephone grabbed at the zipper behind her back and she allowed her to peel it off her shoulders until she stood naked before them both. It wasn’t awkward as she might have expected.
They’d broken up ages ago, but it was a confidence boost she still wanted her, even after all this time. Cloris stared down at Hades so beautifully kneeling before her with his hands bound behind his back. There was no trace of the defeated man she’d fallen in love with. Everything about Hades screamed his sexuality. Even more so than it usually did when he was around her. Now his gaze was almost like his touch on her skin, the way he kept licking his lips in anticipation drew circles across her clit and she didn’t understand how that was possible, but at the same time she didn’t want it to stop for a second.
“How do you do that?”
He jerked his eyes up to hers from his slow perusal of her naked body. “What?”
“Look at me and it’s almost as if I can feel you touching me.”
“Close your eyes.”
She humored him and pressed her eyelids together. A finger trailed down her collarbone and across the top of her right breast before trailing down her rib cage. Then the touch turned hot as if his tongue replaced his finger. She had to open her eyes to look at him, to make sure he wasn’t actually touching her. He sat kneeling on the floor.
That self-satisfied grin spread across his face gave her hope. Maybe he was ready for this? He’d tied himself up to be presented to her twice. If that wasn’t a declaration, she didn’t know what was. She swallowed a little doubt still seething inside her. “I need you to say it. I need to hear you’re ready. Tell me. Because once we start this, I don’t think I can stop it.”
“I’ve wanted you for a century. I’ve been trying to get your attention in any way I can think of. I’m ready. I want you.”
She closed her eyes and allowed the words to brush across her skin. Gods she needed him. In so many ways other than his tie to her as a Horseman. The problem was always the fact that when she got too close, too attached, something invariably changed. She’d do something, or the world would implode, and she’d have to do her job. Things would be ruined and there would be no way back.
Fingers delved into the hair at the nape of her neck and pulled sharply. Cloris gasped and jerked her eyes open. Persephone’s face hovered above hers. “Get out of your head. We aren’t in there. You have two very naked people in front of you. Might want to do something about that.”
Cloris licked her lips and stared down at the only person she’d ever loved before Hades. The deep rich brown of her skin shone beautifully in the artful overhead lighting. She hadn’t aged and yet there was a heavier weight in her eyes. “Kiss me,” Cloris whispered.
The corner of Persephone’s lip turned up and unlike Cloris she didn’t overthinking things but dropped her lips and took Cloris’ with her own. The kiss was soft, cloying, and lingering. Kissing a man was an act of passion, kissing a woman was more of a sport, an act of skill.
When Persephone lifted her head again, Cloris’ brain had finally shut off the outside world. She glanced to Hades still tied up watching them carefully. His eyes were molten, and an idea struck her. She didn’t know if he’d be ready for it, but it had always intrigued her to find out.
“Would you try something for me, Love?”
“Anything,” he said, in a husky whisper. Each syllable caressing her intimate places.
Cloris grasped Persephone’s wrist and brought her in front. “Phe will you lay here please, on the floor between us?”
She glanced at them both before doing as Cloris bid. “Okay. Now what?”
Cloris locked eyes with Hades. “I want you to make her come. Not with your hands or your spirit touch. I want you to talk her into an orgasm.”
He blinked, and then a lazy smile spread across his lips. “That sounds like a challenge. Like you don’t think I can do it?”
She shrugged. “Well, let’s see then.”
H shifted forward toward Persephone until his knees aligned along the smooth curve of her hip. “Is this okay?”
Cloris was slightly touched by the gentleness he showed Phe. But she also knew exactly how much the woman could take and dish out.
Persephone nodded and crossed her hands behind her head. “Ready when you are.”
Cloris released Hades’ bonds and he reached out and lay his hand flat on the slight convex curve of her stomach. “Persephone.”
That was it. He said the woman’s name, and it shot through her. Cloris watched Persephone shiver and her eyes shudder. Cloris realized that every time Hades had spoken to her and it had caressed her skin so intimately it had only been a mere pittance compared to what he could do. He could use that voice to bring down a kingdom. She wondered why he hadn’t used it to gain control of Hel.
The second that snake entered her thoughts she cast her out again. No, she didn’t belong here. Not with them. Not with him.
“Persephone, I want you to think about your favorite garden.”
Even gardening sounded erotic just now.
