Okay, maybe not everything he says is for public sharing. Especially when it makes my core pulse. Linton has proved himself averyattentive lover, and the more pregnant I am, the more he seems to want me.
The Wyrm and Barghest join us at the table, both tucking into the spread I’ve had laid out.
“Gloriana is coming up soon,” I tell Wynter. “She wants to check out my kitchens, make sure they’re up to scratch after we installed new bread ovens.”
“She’ll be wanting to check on you too, I expect,” Wynter says as Reavely hands her a platter of prepared food.
Linton does the same for me, as well as taking a rather meagre portion for himself. I can’t help but watch the reactions of the others when he does eat. For a while, they are spellbound, and then Fenrother blinks, and all at once, everyone is enjoying the fare in front of them.
It seems to me this is what the Yeavering is all about. The family I never even dreamed of, all bundled up in furrymothman, two women who I might never have met, and some monsters who are anything but monstrous.
I truly believe I am home. And I truly believe I have the best of everything, especially my chaos mothman.
