The sensation of Rhys’s hard cock filling him was incredible. It wasn’t just the pleasurable sensation — though there certainly was plenty of that! — but as Rhys took him at last, Thomas felt a sense of rightness, and a connection that went deeper than the simple joining of their bodies. Rhys was taking a chance on him, onthem, letting Thomas into his life and his heart in a way he hadn’t been able to do with anyone since Andy. There was a bond between them, Thomas could feel it growing stronger, and the love and desire he felt for Rhys made his throat suddenly grow tight.

“Better than okay,” he murmured, looking up at Rhys, holding back none of the things he was feeling. “It’s wonderful.”

Rhys eased deeper until he was fully buried at last, and then he bent to kiss Thomas again, lingering this time. When he lifted his head, his eyes were warm and glowing with affection — all for Thomas.

“You’re right,” he said. “It is.”

Thomas’s heart was so full he thought it might burst. He hooked his legs over Rhys’s thighs and arched against him, wanting to feel the power of Rhys claiming him completely. “Now let’s make it perfect.”

Rhys slid one hand between their bodies and curled his fingers around Thomas’s cock as he began to move, teasing Thomas with slow rolls of his hips and even slower strokes of his hand. His gaze was riveted on Thomas’s face, as if he didn’t want to miss a single response.

Thomas caught Rhys’s rhythm, their bodies moving together as naturally as breathing. Pleasure built with every thrust and slide, as Thomas opened himself up completely, holding nothing back. He kept his eyes focused on Rhys, letting Rhys see his pleasure, his need, and his desire as they climbed higher and higher together. Thomas put his arms around Rhys, stroking his shoulders, feeling it as sweat dappled Rhys’s skin and the scent of Rhys’s desire rolled over him. “Yes!” he breathed, wanting more, wanting everything Rhys could give him.

Rhys stroked Thomas’s cock harder, a flush of arousal creeping over his skin as he watched Thomas start to unravel. “That’s it. I want to see you let go.”

That encouragement sent Thomas’s arousal spiraling even higher, and he dug his fingers into Rhys’s shoulders as he held on, Rhys now the only solid thing in his world. The thrumming need of his body grew and grew until he could no longer contain it, and with a wild cry he let go, the intensity of his release causing his vision to gray out as he shattered in Rhys’s arms.

“So gorgeous, Thomas,” Rhys murmured as he continued stroking Thomas throughout his release. “So perfect.”

Thomas could hear Rhys over the pounding of his heart, and he opened his eyes, smiling up at Rhys. No other lover before him had made Thomas feel this complete, and he knew without a doubt no one else ever would. “So are you,” he murmured, as he floated back down to earth. “Your turn, now. I want to make you fly free.”

With a low growl, Rhys began to move, thrusting harder and deeper as if trying to fulfill Thomas’s fantasy of being pounded through the mattress. His reserve was gone, and his defenses were down, leaving him naked to Thomas’s sight. His passion and intensity left Thomas no room to doubt that he was immersed in the moment and thinking of nothing and no one but Thomas. One last powerful thrust, and Rhys cried out as he came, his body shuddering in the aftermath of release.

“Yes!” Thomas held onto Rhys, stroking his shoulders, watching avidly as Rhys was consumed by pleasure, feeling both awe and a fierce joy that he was the one to see Rhys like this, had been the one to share this moment with him. “My Rhys. All mine.”

Rhys gathered Thomas in his arms and held on tight, burying his face against Thomas’s neck. “I don’t think I’m falling anymore. I’m there. I love you.”

Thomas wrapped his arms around Rhys, holding him close. “I love you too,” he replied, closing his eyes as his joy grew until he felt in danger of crying at the intensity of it. “You’re all I want and need.”

“You’ve got me,” Rhys said, nuzzling kisses beneath Thomas’s ear. “For as long as you want me.”

“I’m keeping you forever.” Thomas sighed softly, tilting his head to accommodate the kisses. “After that, you own me, and no refunds or exchanges are allowed.”

“Duly noted.” Rhys pressed one final kiss to Thomas’s jaw before releasing him long enough to deal with the condom. “I’m going to get a warm washcloth,” he said as he rolled away. “I’ll be right back.”

“Mm…okay.” Thomas missed the warmth of Rhys’s body, but he stretched, feeling lazy with satiation, as he watched Rhys walk away, admiring the sight of Rhys’s firm ass. He’d probably be sore in certain places tomorrow, which gave him a feeling of smug satisfaction.

Rhys disappeared into the master bathroom, but he returned shortly and helped Thomas clean and freshen up with a warm, wet cloth. He tossed the cloth onto the nightstand and crawled back into bed.

“Ready to be the little spoon for a while?” Rhys reached for Thomas to draw him closer. “We can take a little rest and then see what we feel like doing. I reckon we’ll get your stuff out of the truck eventually, but there’s no hurry.”

Thomas went willingly into Rhys’s embrace, snuggling back against him. It felt wonderful, how well they fit together, and he pulled Rhys’s arms around him, cocooning himself in Rhys’s warmth. “No hurry at all,” he replied. He turned his head to look back at Rhys, smiling in what he was sure was a besotted manner, but he didn’t care. He had Rhys’s heart, and Rhys had his, and they were safe together. “I don’t plan on either of us needing clothes for the next twenty-four hours, at least. How about you?”

“Sounds like a good plan to me,” Rhys said, curling around Thomas. “I’ve got plenty of food in the fridge, and that’s a brand new box of condoms. We won’t need to leave the house for anything.”

“Perfect.” Thomas patted Rhys’s hip, then sighed and relaxed, closing his eyes and feeling more content than he’d ever believed possible.

Somehow they’d finally gotten it right, and Thomas was going to do everything in his power to keep it that way. No doubt Rhys would need to go to counseling for a while longer, but Thomas was glad Rhys had taken that step to deal with the lingering effects of his loss. And Thomas had meant it when he’d told Rhys that he didn’t mind Rhys talking about Andy, or for there to be things that Rhys wanted to keep special to the love they’d share. Andy, after all, was part of Rhys, and that made him now, in some small way, a part of Thomas, too.

I promise I’ll love him and take care of him for you, Thomas thought, sending the silent thought out to cosmos. Andy was an important part of Rhys’s past, but now Thomas was his future, and Thomas was looking forward to building a life with Rhys, one where joy would fill the lonely places in Rhys’s heart, and give him all the happiness he’d thought he’d lost forever.
